Grim Fandango OST while at work. I adore that game and the music still gives me goose pimples. About time for my yearly play through.

          Download it all here:

Will let you know how it goes (if anyone is an UNKLE fan here)

Ay, feedback on this one would be nice.

Nothing at the mo for me, too lazy to find a CD to suit the mood.

                    Right, first the disclaimer:

I was messing around youtube and found this:

which for some reason I always used to like and reminds me of Christmas in Junior school (????wtf?).

That caused me to remember a welter of songs that are highly embarrasing, but which for some reason have buzzed around my head for hours, including THIS:

It seems we all have crappy songs that, against all reason, we seem to have fond memories of. At least I hope we all do.
Gordon Bennett, where's my Tool cd?

Dear Jessie is one of her best, no shame in that, great song.

im still stuck on Hue & Cry - Labour of Love

AINT GONNA WORK FOR YOU NO MOAH!

I'll admit to listening to some Vangelis earlier this week but this wasn't among the tracks (it was the Blade Runner OST). I do remember this song though.

                          Another 'gem':

That I've HAD to listen to today!!

EDIT: actually, that's a pre-indie arrangement there. Embarrasing suits tho...

That's led me to dig out my old Lotus Eaters album for these:

                            and this

Which aren't bad at all tbh. A nice jangly guitar arrangement with a healthy bass and even some piano thrown in. Proper growers, they were, back in the day. The Lotus Eaters always reminded me a bit of a Prozac-lashed Smiths (obviously nowhere near the talent though, lol).

Best guitar effect ever has to be this btw:

                            quack!

                            A thoroughly enjoyable musical day

Listening to Noreaga - the NORE album. Classic. "Superthug", "Banned From TV" and "Body In The Trunk" ft Nas, and who can forget the rrrrrrremake of "Riker's Island". There is also a track which is basically him getting a knob nosh, which is skipped in quick fashion, obviously. Bless him, I love Nore. "What, what?"

Vangelis is ace you idiots!1 And probably (I'd say definately, next to Mike Oldfield) #1 inspirator for all the music staff that have ever worked at Rare.

'Voices' is my #1 un-official soundtrack to FFXI, and one of my favourite albums of all time.

'1492: CoP' is a cracker past the (well known) opening theme also.

The Bladerunner soundtrack needs no introduction.
