That's the drawback for the likes of Sky or C4 going after Team Clarkson ... how can Jeremy be as honest as he was about that Lexus the other week when they're a paying customer on the TV channel. It's a conflict of interest and the reviews/opinions would surely get too diluted, going against their style.
As for the Beeb, I think they need to overhaul the whole thing, not just replace Jeremy.
As for the poor producer it really is a saddening state of affairs, Twitter is pretty much an open platform to abuse and send death threats to anyone you disagree with. No comeback or legal recourse and this poor bloke got punched didn't report anything and thought he was out of a job, only to get mauled by the social media morons what did they want him to do he was working and got attacked.
makes you sad that people get so mad over a car show that they threaten to kill people, go team planet earth yay.

I know they won't be as the BBC won't have spent 5 minutes thinking about a replacement yet despite the eagerness of the press but if they're the best options we're facing it would be kinder to just end the show now.
It's increasingly looking like May will be leaving with Clarkson so I'm not sure Hammond will stick it out unless the Beeb really pushes for him, though I imagine a rival channel would push for all three of them. Channel 4 would probably be the best fit for a copycat show with them all. Sky would bid the most but it's career suicide signing up for them.
Funniest thing was a woman who rang Radio 2 about it all having a right old rant about it and expressing her frustration if the beeb even considers putting a woman in the show. Can't remember the last time the BBC had a female caller who was pro Man Plan

Plus, if the three of them knock their heads together, they could essentially request so much money off Sky so as to not care about their careers, even if the project fails.

As for Clarkson and the gang, they'll definitely be heading up a new show in the future, Top Gear is dead as gar as I'm concerned the three of them just click.
The BBC did the right thing firing him though, the producer should have dropped if he anything about him, I bet he wished he had have done after he's now receiving death threats and saying his life is ruined!

Just to clarify a few facts:
- The producer, Oisin Tymon, had worked on Top Gear for ten years.
- Clarkson was angry because there was no hot food in the hotel they were staying at during filming.
- Clarkson verbally, then physically abused Tymon, then continued to verbally assault him.
- Tymon went to A&E to have himself checked out.
- Clarkson reported himself to the BBC.
At no point did Tymon "grass" Clarkson up.

With no real way of creating the necessary studio segments unless Hammond and May re-sign on, and the bookings now lost for the celebs, I can't imagine the final three episodes will happen. At best I'd imagine we might get the recorded location segments stitched together into a special, but even then the beeb might opt to skip any that involve Clarkson.
That said...
Jeremy Clarkson's return to the BBC cannot be ruled out, the BBC's creative director Alan Yentob tells Newsnight.
The Creative Director for the BBC has said the corporation couldn't rule out Clarkson ever returning to the Auntie Club
