Nice. The first season was as you said OK, but the manga was a lot better. Hopefully this time it'll be closer to the manga in quality.

Mai Otome ep20 - In agreement with Tobal really. Seems they'll either have to carry the show on for another few episodes or have a rushed ending. I can't see how they're going to tie up all the plot points with the apparent number of episodes left. Some interesting things during the episode

At 7:28(during Nina's flashback) you see that container/cradle that the Blue Sky Sapphire Otome(Rena I think her name is) sent the baby off in which makes me think that Nina might be her daughter. This would explain why Nina knows a part of that song and why Arika knows(as she is the daughter of the king/queen whom Rena was Otome to IIRC). But then that also leads to the question who the heck is Mashiro really? and how does she know that song as well?

In the next episode preview it seems Mikoto is back, at least it looks like her. Also Chie is wearing the new uniform that evil lesbo otome had on( while doing the dirty with Shizuru ) during the last part of the episode, perhaps she's turned to the dark side as well? or maybe she has something in mind?.

Still can't believe Mai hasn't made a return yet.

Im begining to think Oswald have Mai capive in that round thing we saw during the episode and i think some was said about an Otome being inside, so i think thats where she might be. I do hope this is more that 26ep's or could we get a 2nd(3rd) Mai-**** series?

just watched Black cat episode 18 (i seem to be the ony one enjoying this)

this show is one of my favourites now - almost as good as champloo, trigun and alchemist

its nice to see Eve use her powers at last and episode 18 doesnt disappoint

I've been enjoying it myself, it's just that there's been very little to talk about in the past few episodes except for the fact that they've been really good. As the series is supposed to finish at 24 episodes I think there maybe a bit more Black Cat related talk soon. Not watched 18 yet but I always look forward to the next episode of it. Again I don't think there's been one bad episode.

Caught up with Naruto?s Manga, hadn?t read any for weeks so 292-296, really top stuff.

Wow, I love it when Naruto goes nuts and this is without exception one of the best, that drawing of Kabuto getting smacked with a wall of Chakra looked really ace and then managed to push Orochi around. And Sakura teary eyed at the Sight of a Transformed Naruto killing himself to get Sasuke back was really cute(for once).

Everything's wound down now and Sai's done one with Orochimaru and Kabuto!! I wonder where it'll progress from here?

manb this filler stinks, it has some great comedy but that actually story is a naruto level filler, and the animation seems even poorer so many still shots with just 1 person lips moving while there characters in the picture looked cross eyed or about to **** themselves.

Blood STILL doing the fannying around? I'm beginning to think I made the right decision to can it at ep 14. If that is going to run for 52 eps, you'll be tearing your hair out by the end.

Amazed no-one has commented on the Disgaea anime promo that was on animesuki. Not entirely sure of the art style, but it appears to follow the plot of the game wholesale. It's got same music, same pentagrams for magic and other attacks, and those lovely lovely prinnies. Looks like it has the same off the wall humour as well. The bit at the end was great, so I can only hope it can pull it off for an entire run.

Karin subs - I don't know who AF are but the ones I followed were Anime-Empire and a.f.k.'s releases. Anime-Empire haven't had a Karin release in a while so I've been watching afk's. Very good subs nothing to complain about, but for a short time when they had no releases at all, they're usually very quick with their releases(weekly releases at the least) and their quality is comparable to Anime-Empire's. I'll probably keep Anime-Empire's version though for archiving purposes.

Pani Poni Dash - Oyasumi haven't released anything in a while but I know another group gg has done the episodes. I've not tried any of their releases yet(still need to watch their Ayakashi release) but most of the staff seem to be from pretty good groups so their quality should be quite high. I'm gonna start catching up on PPD soon so I'm tempted to watch their releases and I think they're on episode 21. Will probably watch theirs and then archive Oyasumi's version.

As for Disgaea, well I can't be arsed downloading the promo for it but I'll definitely check out the anime. I'm a big fan of the game and it has the characters and setting to make for a decent anime IMO.

edit: speaking of afk's quick releases they've just released episode 15 of Karin, not bad considering the episode aired about 12am this morning Japan time.

Egro Poxey ep1 - Holy hell, i really hope this isn't a case of '****ing ace 1st ep' and the rest not living up to promise but, wow. Art style that is super strong and very close to Texhnoloyze but more "Matrix/bladerunner", animation is top, so is the sound and that Shotgun she uses like pistol is whack! Contender for show of year already i hope it stays this strong throughout. Also following a recent trend of English song's used in Credits, a certain Radiohead song turns up...

Ditto. I've been hyped about this show for some time and if continues in the same vein as the first episode it'll live up to my expectations.

City Hunter episode 1 - Yeah it's an old show but someone recently put up a torrent to the first episode on tokyotosho with very good quality I might add. Not too dissimilar to Angel Heart(to be expected as AH is an Alternate universe/sequel of City Hunter). Wouldn't mind seeing a couple of more episodes of it so hopefully whoever put it out will release a couple more. If you are interested in it and have trouble with the torrent file as I did, send me a PM and I'll get you the torrent file I used to download it. Interesting to see even the old show is still very good.

Still to watch - XXXHolic movie which from what I'm hearing has some sort of ties to Tsubasa Chronicles I believe it centers on the Dimension Witch Yuuko who appears in a couple of TC's first season episodes. Plus close to finishing KAA's release of the FMA movie which I'm looking forward to.

xxxHolic is a side by side manga with Tsubasa. It follows the Dimension Witch's assistant Watanuki as he deals with the troubles of having evil spirits following him round. Remember how the dimension witch asks for payment in the case of Sakura and Syaoran for help? In this case Watanuki's payment was to help the Witch with her chores (Mainly cooking and buying drink)

xxxHolic is a pretty damn good manga, one of Clamp's best alongside Chobits. If you're a fan of Japanese mythology, or old-skool Japanese horror, then it could be right up your street. The series is coming out at Easter which I'm pretty stoked about.

Must also agree about Ergo Proxy; very class stuff from manglobe.

As far as I know Shana should be 26 episodes. Thing is the novels/manga it's based on are still ongoing so there is the possibility that they may continue the story in a 2nd season. At least that's what I'm hoping for as it's been very good so far.

I really should stop watching next ep previews they so often give away massive spoilers. For example the cliffhanger at the end of this with Shana being struck down. Then in the preview we see her looking good as new. Alright it is Shana and it's extremely unlikely they'll kill her off but still. Agreed about the confession, she needs to get it over with and take a leaf out of Olga's book who confessed at the festival by shouting at the top of her lungs.

Fate/Stay Night ep9 -

If you want some background check out the wikipedia article here. Got to admit I had no idea who he was either. The episode was good overall and finally we get some action, the series so far seems to be getting bogged down in long, drawn out talking scenes which could be cut in half really. I reckon they could have got to where they are now with half as many episodes and the pacing would have probably been better for it IMO. Still I've enjoyed most of the episodes for one reason or another so it's done more than enough to keep me interested. I'm just waiting/hoping for all hell to break loose as it should get even better then. Agreed on Shirou though, he's really started to get on my nerves in the last few episodes. I'm hoping Saber gives him a good beating in the next few episodes during their training sessions. Hopefully she can knock some sense into him.

Mai Otome ep21 -

I knew that little case we saw during Nina's flashback seen in the last ep would play some part in it. I'm guessing that Nagi has come to the conclusion that Nina is the real queen of Windbloom, which is why he thinks Arika isn't needed for the harmonium thing. I've a feeling she will be needed as she knows a different verse of that song which could hold the key to unlocking the power.

As for the episode itself it was another good 'un, focusing on Mashiro becoming a good queen more than anything, didn't expect that little girl to kick the bucket either thought they might have saved her. It was nice to see what sounds like and looks like Mikoto in battle. Just wish they'd focused on the battle more. Hopefully now that will be the end of the whole Mashiro becoming a good queen character development mini-arc we've had and there'll be more battles and revelations soon. Also Arika's going to have her hands full as it seems it's going to be 5 on 1, with Tomoe that green haired girl getting her chance to take her out. Loved Nao's line about going hitch-hiking again and the reaction from Haruka and Natsuki . Seems like Aoi(Mashiro's maid) could still be alive as we see Chie visiting someone in hospital but don't see their face and she was quite close to Aoi

Also from those good old next episode previews it looks like Mai will finally be making her entrance, she pops up right at the end of the preview holding some cooking utensils and looking quite angry. Again I'm left thinking how they are going to wrap up the story as again we didn't really get any conclusive new revelations about important plot points.

I need to watch it again to pickup on the little things that are so easily to miss, and im sure Mikoto was show in person waking up from behind near the start, im not sure who that women is in the bed but it could be Aoi, but then why would Chie be looking after her when they(I think) have no previous relationship? And Tomoe?s sick sex games with Shiz are certainly going end in tears?. I can?t remember then preview but I do hope it Mai

They have 5eps to wrap this up, I can?t see them doing it and giving us a decent ending, Hime?s Twist started at ep17/18 and had plenty of time to come to a conclusion.

Eye Shield ep36 ? Gets a new opening and ending both much worse, and we get an end to the death march.
