nice piece of plot twisting there that could go in any direction, but most likely lead to Orihime joining Aizen (using his Hypnosis maybe, or just winnning her over by promising her power). Could Urahara just be protecting Orihime because her latent powers(time manipluation?, slip thorugh any barrier) are just to dangerous? Could Aizen use her has a backup plan if he doesn't get this key he needs to open the barrier to the SS king....

So dam cool, im not a big fan of training arc's but i like Chad and Orihime, and the training is enjoyable to read for once.

Strawberry Panic ep7, holy hell I guess it is full rampant lesbianism, and not that sister love crap Maria-sama promotes.

Some very cringe worthy moments, notable Hikari ?rape? and that horse girl, riding in to save her I was laughing my ass off how bad it was. Looks like her room-mate ain?t happy about that relationship, guess she has feelings for her to.

Soul Link ep7 aaarrggghhhhhhhhh, when comes to most cringe worthy moments of all time nothing going to top talking sperm.

Animation got noticeable worse, but I to like the story elementals still, Noa gets blow up, which in turn lets the crew know about the drug/cells thing because she had Shuyhin contaminated spunk in her. I had to turn down the sound when the sperm talked, worst child voice of all time.

1st ep of ergo proxy - great stuff, looks groovy, i feel a few twists emerging. animation's wicked. watched the first few mins of ep2 - 720p goodness

won't watch any more until my new telly arrives later this week cos my lappy screen's a bit grey and an anime like that needs all the black you can give

Blood+ eps 27-29 - Almost worth waiting for. The series has definitely picked up in the second half. Makes me wonder how good it could have been if they'd gone with 26 episodes and basically gotten rid of most of the crap in the first half of the series. Like the new OP especially the song, continues the general quality of the OPs so far.

Ohran Host Club 7 - Weakest ep so far for me. Not as funny as my favourite episode which was the physical examination one(ep 3 I think). Had it's moments though -

Such as Renge's entire scene, she always seems to steal the show IMO when she appears. Also liked Tamaki's reaction with the watergun and all

. Still an entertaining episode.

Two more new shows were subbed this week, Kamisama Kazoku and Demonbane. I think that's finally the last of the spring season. Not got round to watching them yet.

Can you guys recommend me any anime/manga?

Currently I'm following Initial D, Naruto, Bleach, Eyeshield 21 and have (for example) seen/read Prince of Tennis, Hunter X Hunter, Full Metal Alchemist, Hikaru no Go, Tenjo Tengen (and some more) and quite enjoyed those. Know of any other, (remotely) similar?

Anything in particular? I'll recommend some of the more recent shows I've seen/am still watching that I rate.

Fate/Stay Night, Shakugan No Shana, Black Cat, Mushishi, Paradise Kiss, Aria, The Melancholy of Suzumiya Haruhi, Ohran High School Host Club, Higurashi No Naku Koro Ni, Ichigo Mashimaro, School Rumble(both seasons), Full Metal Panic(again the whole series is ace), Twelve Kingdoms, Eureka Seven, Ergo Proxy, Honey and Clover, Yakitate Japan and One Piece.

There's loads I've forgotten no doubt but those should keep you going for a while. Decent mix of action, comedy and other types of anime in there. If you need more detailed info and/or summaries try animenewsnetwork.com, animenfo.com and/or anidb.net Hope that helps

I've been watching The Melencholy of Haruhi Suzumiya recently and it totally rocks, my fave anime of the last few years if the current eps are anything to go by.

The fact that only one group subs it is bizzare.

Yeah, it's great.

There are two groups subbing it, one is Animanda who released some subs recently of the first two episodes so they're a bit behind and then there's of course a.f.k. Personally I'm glad because quite frankly aside from maybe Video Quality/Resolution I have no complaints with the a.f.k. version which is almost always out about three days after the show first airs in Japan and usually to a very high standard. I'd prefer if there were maybe a max of one to two groups per anime rather than have like 10-15 groups subbing the same thing *cough* Tsubasa Chronicles*cough*. After all there's plenty of anime that goes unsubbed, good or bad, which I'd rather see get subbed than another version of the same anime. That's just me though. I know some people like to have the choice of different subs.

edit: Also the Full Metal Panic: The Second Raid OVA is out in raw form. Hopefully someone will sub it. From the sounds of it it's more comedy ala fumoffu.

low on the laughs again, but I liked how they worked it out(Kyon right from the start) and Kyon/Haruhi holding hands in the storm was a nice little touch. Ep14 next

School Rumble ep7 ? the camping section was ok, but the laughs didn?t come till we got a look at the kids part time jobs. Imari you rock!

Any idea what the OVA to Second Raid is about, just fan service I assume?

The OVA from what I'm reading is basically about Tessa. Apparently she gets drunk and can't remember what happened the night before and loses something. She goes looking for it and much hilarity and fanservice ensues. .

Suzumiya Haruhi ep8 - I'll assume you meant episode 8 as well. Pretty much carried on from the last ep in this story. For me personally this along with the other ep in this arc(ep6) have been the weakest of the bunch. Ep 7 was much better I thought. Still this episode did have some good stuff, in particular the references to one of my favourite DS games, Phoenix Wright: Ace Attoreny, had the same effect on me as last week's FMP homages. Some decent lines from Kyon as well though not on a par with some of his stuff from the last episode.

The main thing I'm interested in is that mole on his back. They certainly seemed to focus on it at the end of the episode. Perhaps it's not relevant to the series at all and just one of those things(like the lady ripping up that paper at the start of ep6

I hope to god we get a second season. The show seems popular enough plus there's still plenty of material to use without getting too much into the filler.

School Rumble ep7 - Apparently this was an anime only filler episode. Tbh I didn't really notice. I thought the camping bit was good but the best bits were definitely the look at their part time jobs. Best bits for me:

Imadori at the camp site using ready made food for his meal. Particularly the way he acted as if he was a super chef whilst doing it, plus his D cup special was great. In fact now that I think about it, Imadori had most of the best bits in the camping section and probably the whole episode. One of the funniest scenes for me had to be the aftermath of him being at Karen's workplace, crawling home in really bad shape with his happy meal thingy Shame we didn't get more Eri.

Some news on Genshiken 2nd season, apparently the announcement a while back wasn't for the 2nd season of Genshiken but about a full season of Kujibiki Unbalance. It's all in the Genshiken 2nd season thread on animesuki's general anime forum. Not sure what to think at this point, I'm hoping that we'll be getting the 2nd season this fall as was originally thought before.

Bah, Kujibiki Unbalance is crap. The 3 episodes they released as extras for the dvds, are not good enough to warent a whole series, specially when Genshiken is so much better.

aybe a bit off topic but I thought a good place to ask. Could anyone point me in the direction of any good MANGA to read. I was wanting something for a fairly young audience so thatI could actually read it in Japanese and obviously a decent story too!

and wow Red Shield HQ gone, plenty of people dead and Riku gets murdered by Diva, to which it looks like she got herself knock up with the next generation of Saya/Diva before doing the deed. Also that looks like the end of the arc and a time jump, the previews for next ep makes Kai look a good few years older than he was which should match him up with the opening intro's running man that kind of looks like Kai but more manly. Interested in what the hellt hat solider with the american flag on his chest is about.

One Piece is great, it's probably the best Shonen out there. By the time I started reading it there were over 390 chapters out and it was great to marathon all those chapters-it's a long and exciting ride

After OP that I'd say Bleach and then Naruto.
