Black Lagoon ep10 ? Not as good as the previous ep but still very enjoyable,

some great moments like Dutch and Benny not getting out of the car and the nasty punch up with Roberta and Revi, best bit of that being ?your shoe lace is untied? and Revi falling for it and taking an uppercut, with Dutch and Benny laughing there asses off. Liked that they let Roberta win, even if the Russian bird called it a draw Roberta was still able to get to her feet, while Revi was in dream land.

As for Naruto ep195 (still f'ing filler, best end for ep200) didn't skip through to much of it like normal, the Rock Lee vs whoever fight was ok...

At least the manga is still storming away, the last 2 chapters let you in on the technical details of Chakra special moves and Bloodline Limits. I really appreciate it when fighting mechanics are explained so well. (the re-mention of Haku was really mark momment)

Maybe he's talking about Black Lagoon? If so it seems a bit of an unfair comparison given the length of the two shows.

As for ep 10. Tobal pretty much covered the best points. A little disappointing after the awesomeness of episode 9 but taken on its own it was pretty good.

I seem to say this every week/month but I do hope the Naruto and Bleach fillers end soon.

Not much else to say at this point. Been a bit busy but I've caught up with most of my recent anime except Ah My Goddess and Aria which I intend to catch up soon. English translation of Noein ep 24 is floating about btw(at least I think it's english) have yet to check it. And Pani Poni Dash has been finished by gg, I have no idea if Oyasumi will get round to it but since it's been something like a couple of months since their last release and they're still on 18 I'm going to go ahead and get gg's version. I still haven't seen all the Oyasumi eps. The last episode I watched was ep 14 I think which was like 3 months ago. So I guess I'll prioritize finishing off a couple of old series'.

It is a tad annoying when some show are just left for ages but I can understand it when new shows come out everyone rushes to sub them instead of finish the older series off, Noein is a prime example mainly for it being perfectly subbed by Shinsen up to ep23 but still haven?t finish ep24 for at least 2 months. As for PPD I like Oyasumi sub to much as they example every injoke or pop culture reference, so im happy to wait for them to eventually get back to doing it.

Dropped that Battle Ramen poster gil show, it total pants and for it to be Yakitate?s time slot is a disgrace. Poor sister story is just to boring, nothing new I haven?t seen in a million shows before it, plus the sisters are way to annoying, download ep2 so I give one more chance before dropping. Still need to watch Chevalier and Bokura Ga Ita.

AMG tv season2 ? it ok, nothing outstanding which is why I rarely mention it, 1 or 2 episodes left now and they still haven?t even kissed? so much time wasted, it took ages to hammer home their relationship was at a stand still(pretty much in the same as last season) and only got moving again around ep10 when they pointed out Kei?s sexual frustration/desire.

I think gg explain the jokes and references as well. Though I'm not sure they do it in the video file. IIRC they have pdf files accompanying their releases which point them out. Well when I get round to dling and watching gg's releases I will report back. I'll probably get Oyasumi's later anyway for archiving as I like to have complete series' from the same group if possible. Regarding Noein, well it took Shinsen ages to get 23 out as well and I wouldn't say the episodes were subbed perfectly myself, but I understand the situation they're in. Heck I'm still sticking with their Gun X Sword releases. I guess we'll see, I've still got a couple of eps to watch before I get to the final one so who knows maybe they'll have released by then.

As for Muteki Kanban Musume, which is what I assume you're talking about, I don't think it replaces Yakitate Japan in its timeslot. I mentioned Yakitate at the time because I thought it might be another food based comedy show similar to it. I liked the first ep but it's gotten progressively less funny since then. Not got round to watching ep 3. Definitely not a patch on Yakitate though, I agree.

Binbou shimai, it's not so much the fact that the stuff has probably already been done before because I'm watching shows right now that have similar premises, characters, stories etc... as other stuff I've already seen and which I enjoy. Zero No Tsukaima is a big example. It's hardly the most inventive show. In fact it's quite predictable and cliched at the moment but I've still enjoyed it. I just didn't like the older sister after watching the first ep. Have yet to progress further with the series.

Isn't AMG 2nd season 26 episodes? I know it's not the best show around but I enjoyed it all the same(talking first season here).

it is to be expected, specially filler arc animation is always poor. Hopefully they're saving the budget for when it gets back to manga story line with Kakashi and the Yellow Flash(the 4th). I'm really hoping it starts around ep200 - 208 which is about the time a new season starts i think...

NHK Ni Youkoso ep 3 - Absolutely hilarious IMO. Whilst the other two eps had their moments I don't think they had as many funny moments as in this ep. I was laughing pretty much throughout it all.

Hard to pick best moments since there was quite a few. Saito's first taste of eroge and his resultant downward spiral with the constant pestering of Yamazaki to find out how to get the sex scenes. Then his checking out of "referential material" on the net, plus the sort of crazy imaginary scene that goes with it where he's a fisherman reeling in all the girls. There was the bit at the end where he's trying to take photos of girls as they leave school as well. There were some serious moments but for me they were overshadowed by the comedy.

Yeah really starting to enjoy NHK properly now. Series started off in quite a serious direction... now it's hard to tell where it's going! Episode had me in fits though

Favourite bit was probably when they were both on horseback and Saito say something like "It felt flat so I thought it was your stomach" when asked where he was holding Louise. Starting to dislike Kirche already and hopefully she'll get her comeuppance sooner rather than later. Siesta and Louise ftw. Taking it even further with the shakugan comparisons we now have a talking object, much like Alastor and Marcosius from
Shakugan. Siesta episode next(or so it seems from the preview) which should be cool.

Some might be interested, got Haruhi Vol. 1 First Print DVD today (and I'll have a spare if anyones interested, as I preordered at both CDJapan and YesAsia by mistake).

My first Japanese First Print, pretty impressed really. Very unique case, sorta digipack-style but with a more durable, shiny casing, in a slipcase too. Spinecard of course.
Not too much extras, some stickers ,though it does have a CD with seems to have various background music and stuff from the episodes.

DVD picture quality is excellent even on my HDTV, very good encode. Extras include that Michiru opening thing from episode zero, the 'Next Episode' scenes from the TV (as the standard DVD 'Next Episode' scenes have no voiceovers.

Totally gutted about missing the Episode 0 first print, still unable to find it.
Gimme a PM if anyone is itnerested in my spare FP Vol 1 when it arrives.

when he started playing all those hentai games and phoning up Yamazaki all night is brilliant, and when he looks at himself in the mirror, goes insane and decides to become a full pervert = LOL. I think the best bit of the bunch of Yamazaki discovering Saito had download 12gigs worth of porn in a week(all pictures)

School Rumble ep10 ? Enjoyable, even if it getting a bit wayward with stories. Loved betting the whole class on a cards game, still the show needs more EriXHarmia

Bokura Ga Ita ep1 ? the art is so very super cute, liked the characters they introduced and the relationships between make you warm to them. Certainly be watching the rest of the show.

The worst bit is that was a typo on the part of the subbers. Apparently he downloaded 120GBs worth and not the 12GB they had down, hence why they released a v2 file. I mean 12GB alone is pretty mental but 120GB is just frightening.
