What actually happened to Ergo Proxy? Not seen a release in ages.

Still going afaik. It's just how Shinsen tend to do things, release a couple of episodes together every once in a while. And they are the furthest in terms of eps released. The other groups are still going as well e.g. A-Kraze recently released ep 10.

Please don't mind me joining this topic. Anyway, I watched the remainder of The Melancholy of Suzumiya Haruhi and One Piece Special 4 today. Both very good in their own ways but I expected them to be anyway.

So, given that I've consumed my starter and main course whole I feel I deserve my dessert later but I wonder what I should wathc? I've got Bleach OVA 2 so I might watch that.

Byw, @buster_broon, Samurai Champloo is the best samurai anime availble. Then Samurai 7. In my own experince Samurai Deeper Kyo is gash. The manga's okay but the anime just screwed up what the manga had (mostly nice looking women and near invincible main characters) and completely ruined it for me. So, thtat's what I recommend for Samurai anime.

Oh, plus it may be a comedy but Tsukikage Ran's great for the traditional 60s/70s trouble fighting duo style Samurai stye show. Tis a bit of a parody but it is very, very, very, very nicely animated.

Think that's enough verys for now!

Oh, btw, anybody recommend any current show to watch? I personally recommend Gun X Sword. Very good. I can't fault it tbh and all the characters are likeable (just about.)

What have you seen? What sort of stuff are you interested in?

I'll just list some recent stuff anyway:
Aria(both seasons), School Rumble(both seasons), Keroro Gunsou, Mushishi, Honey and Clover (both seasons), Paradise Kiss, Nana, Saiunkoku Monogatari, JuuOhSei, Zero No Tsukaima, Ichigo Mashimaro, Yakitate Japan, Good Witch of the West(JP name: Nishi No Yoki Majo), Utawarerumono, Ohran High School Host Club and Black Lagoon.

No doubt I've missed some but I'm sure someone will come along to recommend them. Most of those are pretty recent shows, though one or two have finished.

If you haven't seen School Rumble, it's a must IMO. The show has recently took a more 'silly' direction, but this is by no means a negitive thing.

NHK ep 2 - I can genuinely say I enjoyed this episode this time

Saito's condition takes a bit of a turn here, whereas before he was just coming off as a madly paranoid comspiracy theoryist, we see more of his unreasonable irrationalisations, including his constant lying, more to himself than the person he's actually lying to.

Totally love the next door neighbour guy, me and my mate have a similar mahou shoujo thing, so his room doesn;t look to dis-similar to the crap littered around ours! Was interesting to see that it was this guy portayed as the normal guy helping out he hikkamori, whereas in other examples, this guy himself might be seen as the one not normal.

                Nana ep15. Good episode,

i liked how it followed Hachiko around for day letting you in on her collapsed world, the stuff while she's tyring to the slepe it quit saddening and the stuff right at the end after seeing Sachiko inthe supermarket, not to sure why Nana was so cut up when hachiko (was clear quite distressed) shouting at her, guess we'll se what happens next ep. They still managed some funny moments with Nana saying she's through with love in the car and the bar scene at he start with an almost 4th person view

Beet season2 - ep1/2 - love the new opening credits, but i can't see how they shows going to better the final grundiel fight, i think it be steady slope downwards... until they fight the warden guy, which seems to be Beet's way, lotts of crappy fights with the only good stuff coming from fighting the Big Boss of that story arc (with exception of Franky the gun planet thing)

Nana ep 15 - I thought this episode on the whole was hilarious.

The bar scene at the start was great, with them taking the piss out of Shouji and talking about viewer ratings. Hachi's remarks in the car, plus her imagining Misato and Nana together as well as her jealousy towards Misato were funny to see. In particular I loved that one bit where she was giving Misato dirty looks whilst holding that knife Quite sad to see the effect it's still having on her but at least she didn't spend most of the episode moping about.

Coyote Ragtime Show ep3 - New character joins the crew.

Basically Bruce's right hand man, who happens to now be a crazy rockstar preacher or something. Loads of action, involving the Marciano sisters again. Still looks lovely to watch, love the music as well. Some bits of the story revealed. It looked like Marciano was the one that shot Bruce, judging by Franca's flashback. Another Marciano sister out of action, plus the reveal of the pendant being Bruce's fake eye. I loved the episode tbh, it just flew by. Good stuff

Coyote ragtime show ep3 - enjouyed it, even if it wasn't as good as the other episode,

anyone know which sister Sep is, the Sniper one inthe choper that got missiled or the Head in the cage?

Honey'n'Clover ep4 - omg i think this is my fav episode of the show so far,

everything from Mayama pushing Rika on to the train to his rant at the end was perfect, pretty dam emotional

Jouohsei/Juuousei ep11, strange number to finish the show but it's been a great show shame the ending wasn't one i would have wanted,

Third suiciding for his sin's and Tiz senselessly dying following the path Thor showed her in life ruined the ending for me, i liked Tiz and she deserved more than that.

Still glorious Hi-res all the way through with animation and a story to match, certainly worth watching.

Sep is the one on the chopper. The other one is May, I think.

                      Honey and Clover ep4 -

Whilst I can understand what Mayama's trying to do I just don't like the way he does things. Some of the stuff again was just really creepy and disturbing. That last ranting scene for example when she tried to leave, was kind of ruined for me by the fact that he had basically setup that "trap" so he'd know when she was leaving. Certainly not perfect for me but I did like what he was saying. The email reading and stuff for example. I guess I just don't like the stalker Mayama. Normal Mayama's fine(like when they visit her home, I thought that was sweet) but when he's in stalker mode it's disturbing viewing for me. I guess it's one of the reasons why I prefer a Shuuji-Rika relationship but that sure as hell isn't happening now. Still it was a good episode and I'm glad that he is at least trying to help her out(which is what I meant by understanding what he's trying to do), 'cos lord knows she needs it. I'd hate to see her commit suicide(at least that's what they seem to be hinting at). I'm coming round to the relationship partly because I want to see a happy ending for Rika. I just hope Mayama stops his creepy actions.

. I preferred ep 3 personally but this was still a great episode.

Agreed on Jyu Oh Sei. I liked the show up until the ending. Still a good show and worth watching but could have ended on a much better note.

Spot on about Tiz. I couldn't understand why she did that, I was hoping she'd have a happy ending at least as I preferred her to that other girl, Karim. The ending itself felt kind of rushed, they could have done with another episode at least.

                      .

I also had the same kind of reaction to the guy next door as his desk setup is so reminiscent of my own and the irrational behaviour of both characters hit very close to home. On a personal level I have lived the life of a "NEET" for about 18 months (in the past) and it really has a detrimental effect on a persons mentality, morality and general perception of ethics. It is a ridiculously hard thing to snap out of, most - including myself - never fully snap out of it.

Host Club ep16 ? makes you seen the twins in a new light,

enjoyed watching the ?date? and the bit at the end in the church was super cute

Gantz chapter 236/237 ? It?s the end of the manga in its current form ?1st stage?, well have to wait 4 months for next chapter?. Any its been a great ride with Kurono and ganzter?s and cliff-hanger at the end ;_;, and now the spoilers!

NNNNNNNNNOOOOOooooooooooooooooooooooOOOOOOOOOOOooo oooooooo Kurono, I just hope it not the end of him, it?s been one of my fav charaters for long time now and to see him killed off in the last chapter is quite shocking as he is the main guy that audience can relate to, a total underdog, underestimated by a lot of people and until the last chapter one heck of survivalist, and now with the 2 best Gantzer?s(Izumi) dead and them joining up with the Osaka Team we could be in for one hell of ride. Also I reckon that the head of Kei?s brother wasn?t real and the real vamp one is still alive somewhere, so im hoping he?ll some come save Kei from dieing? or could Kei be sent to another Gantz ball somewhere else, or be revived by Reika, oh so many time scenarios.

If you haven?t read anything of gantz do so now, it?s a top read and will keep you guessing all the way.

Ohran 16 - With the past few episodes, this included, I haven't found the show to be as funny as it was at the start. That said I've still found it enjoyable to watch. Most satisfying moment in the episode for me was

when Hikaru got slapped by Haruhi. He was getting on my nerves at that point and I thought he deserved it, could possibly have done with a few more. That said he made up for it later as he realized his mistakes. As you mentioned, the church scene was probably the sweetest scene in the episode. I'd love for some of these potential relationships to develop further into more concrete ones.

Bokura Ga Ita ep1 - New show subbed by Triad. Slice of life feel to it and enjoyable enough first ep with some nice lighthearted moments. Not sure about the voice acting at this point, particularly the main girl character's seiyuu but it's not enough to put me off. Character designs remind me of Honey and Clover/Ai****eruze Baby as does some of the background art and stuff. Not the best production quality but it's sufficient. It's basically a shoujo romance anime and since I dig romance in general it's just right for me. Quite a lot happens in the first ep and judging from the end of the ep and next ep preview

the main characters are already together as a couple, which if true is surprisingly quick

. Definitely worth checking out one episode IMO. Whether it'll be up to other animes that I think are sort of similar(Nana and Hachikuro) is another thing. Hard to tell at this point.

What's the Gantz anime like btw? I'd rather do what I normally do and check out the anime first before reading the manga(if I ever get round to doing that that is). Also I'm guessing it doesn't cover all of the manga material.

anime is not bad, but not a patch on the manga.

yea, watch the uncut anime until the budda mission, which is where it goes off on it's own story just to give you a feel for there voices anyway.
