I guess knowing the correct age helped me but even so I never really felt that uneasy with the love triangle or the fact they liked her. I might have found it weird if it was just they were infatuated with her because of how old she looked but IMO that isn't the case, there's more to it then that and I never once got the feeling that that was the only reason(if it even was a reason in the first place, which I think is arguable) they were interested. It also seems to be the reason that people are turned off the show, because they felt the same way about Hagu as you did and so switched off after a couple of episodes. Or at least that's what I've gathered from talking to some of the haters. Their loss IMO

FLAG ep1 - very different to alot of show out there, follows a camera women in a war documentary way, whether or not it keep the same style through the camera lense approach for the next episode will be interesting. Seems it has lot of similarities to the current war's the USA/UK/UN are all involved in right now so it can get pretty chilling.
ZoT ep5 - top noch! some nice moments between lousie and Saito, and Saito finally kicking some ass again.
It was pretty funny when the staff of destruction turned out to be a Rocket Launcher

FLAG ep1 - Agreed that it was different, but the first episode didn't really do it for me. A bit too slow for my liking and I also felt there were times in the first episode where they were really stretching to use the whole first person through the camera view point. Particularly the scene where they were sat face to face in the restaurant. I thought that was a bit ridiculous tbh. It has an interesting setup and technically it's all good. Lovely animation and I thought the use of CG was good for the mechs. I loved the attention to detail as well, in particular the effect of looking at Shirase through the webcam. Loved the ending song as well, which is the same "Lights" that crops up at the end of Lumines. Someone described it as one big(and possibly rather gruesome) game of Capture the Flag, which I thought was funny and may well be a good way of describing it. I'll definitely be giving it a few more episodes as really apart from the snail-like pace and for me lack of interesting things going on in the first ep, there was a lot to like and as I said I think the setup is interesting. Hopefully the next couple of episodes can hook me in. It is apparently 13 episodes so I may stick with it through to the end regardless, I've done it for quite a few 13 ep shows that I thought were average or a bit above *cough* Tokko *cough* .
edit: Before I forget, School Rumble was recently licensed by funimation at Otakon 2006, that includes both seasons and the OVAs. As a result Wannabefansubs have dropped it. Currently only your-mom fansubs are doing it and they are up to ep 18 I believe. I've heard varying things about their quality from passable to piss poor. I'm not sure if I'll be able to wait for the DVDs(which I probably will be buying) so it looks like I might have to go with them for better or worse. From the things I've heard they seriously need someone competent to QC their episodes. Oh well, I shall see >_<Last edited by Zapp$ter; 12-08-2006, 18:36.

Bokura Ga Ita ep 3 -
Same as usual really, meaning more good stuff. This time we get a bit of background on the relationship Yano had previously. His ex-girlfriend's ex was a right **** and she was also a bit of a bitch for seemingly betraying him after promising she wouldn't. Best bits for me again involved Nana-chan, basically the whole scene where she went to visit him at his house including the comments about her being a stalker from Yano, plus her letting rip with more foul language again only to see Yano's mum come to the door(must have been quite embarassing). I also loved the bit on the bed particularly the reaction from Yano's mum
Honey and Clover ep 7 -
This show is just on another level for me. Awesome episode again and we get more details on the back story to the whole dad losing the company thing. Got to say I didn't like that guy's actions in betraying their dad. I'd find it hard to do that to any of my friends, especially someone who is apparently your best friend.
It's easy to see where Morita gets his craziness from. That "job interview" was class with one guy trying for the third time apparently. Felt sorry for Kaoru at times and I'm surprised that he hasn't taken more of a disliking to Shinobu, especially as from his perspective it seemed that his dad loved Shinobu more. But really this is just coming from the oldest child in the family, I think most eldest siblings(especially at a young age) have experienced that at some point in their lives. Jealousy of their younger brothers/sisters getting more love from parents. I'm also a bit worried by that end scene, bloodied glass with Hagu lying next to it. Doesn't look too good

Bokura Ga Ita ep3 ? Indeed good stuff,
Yano putting up his wall(usually of lies) and Nana trying to tare it down. Enjoy the same moments as you, best moments being Nana turning up at his house(proper lol when she screamed at him to let her in and his mum came out the front door). Nice to learn his past so quickly to, that girl was certainly an idiot and one of those bad boy wanting types, quite sad she still cheated on him after the promise. Best bits of the flashback had to be the beach (its cold and wet!) and afters of Yano?s fight with her ex (?did you win or lose?, ?winning or losing doesn?t matter, I punched him till I was satisfied?).
Can?t wait for more.
Honey?n?Clover ep7 ? That was pretty emotional episode
seeing Morita past, his dad is/was ace, I can understand the other guy feeling?s he was just sick of the unfair live he had while also living in the shadow such a great man and before he died it just wanted to know if Morita dad was ?human?. I think that money is certainly going to be used to proof their dad created the powered motor the walkman used. The stuff with Hagu at the end seems it will certainly bad and not an accident? roll on ep8
Blood+ 39-40 ? New intro to fit in with the new change of settings.
Saya starting to become like the old Saya again which I hope doesn?t mean a retreat of her ass kicking attitude, and Solomon turning to Saya side was expected but and his Older brother showing just abit of his powers in a small but cool fight.

Blood+ 41-42 ? Still going strong,
with Diva being pregnant with Riku kids(which I thought had happened when the timeskip happened but has taken a while to come to around. I?m also thinking for Saya to stay awake she will have to become pregnant herselfKai or Solomon babies anyone?
Also read some spoilers for the last episode of Gunbuster2, and now I?m dying to see it as the finale sounds f?king ace. Also started download YM School Rumble.
