hmmm... just did a marathon on yakitate!! Japan, i have to say I am gonna thoroughly enjoy this anime. if you havent checked out the manga already make sure you do.

So yakitate!! isnt as dull as the idea sounds then? Looked fairly mental but I wasnt sure about the whole storyline revolving around bread.

Aside from that, here's my express review of Grenadier, based on episode 1:
Just like Trigun, except that instead of being good it's ecchi.

(seriously, there are actually people who thought the "boob-reload" trick was cool? wtf?)

So it wasn't just me, then. Thank Christ. Crap IMO, plain and simple. Not even slightly worth bothering with.

And yay for people comparing Beck to FLCL, too. The rate I keep wondering when the next episode is coming out, I'll be turning into an AnimeSuki kiddie any time now.

Excellent work NM, I was using Baka-updates, but the design was a bit too busy for my liking.

Oh and I watched the first episode of Sunabouza the other day, but I've not got many positive things to say about it. The setting was quite unique, and the animation of a reasonable standard, but I found it a all bit dull and repetitive. I think the humour just passed me by.

After the hype that Beck has been getting on here, I'll give it a try, but can anyone reccomend the best version? Thanks!

Tokyotosho seems to be of a darker shade of grey than mircx/mirkx, though. I just saw a torrent for the GetBackers PS2 game... :/

Oh, and in other news, Gankutsuou 2 is as good as the first one (and damn, is the soundtrack good!), ditto for Beck 2 (ditto for the soundtrack -- absolutely great), Bleach 3 is okay and Naruto 105 finally makes the series interesting again. I know of a blue-haired guy who's just done something to someone, that he's really, really going to regret in the next episode.

Oh man, i hit my last episode of Naruto (eps 70) and realise i hadn't started any of the other 10 eps packet starting, so i've got 3 packs of 10 on the go, i need to see the next eps >_<

macross Zero ep 5 out, woohoo

Wow, that episode capped of Macross Zero finale well. Great dogfighting between the main 4 pilots and at times almost seemed like they we're dancing. Yet again the animation was top notch, while the sound effects yet again seemed to lack that 'ummmfff' to the explosions that Yukikaze does so well. I never followed the original macross, and have only seen Plus and hacked up Robotech series, does anyone know if Shin takes a further part in the story in Macross, as he seemed quite the partner to Roy(whos dammed ace)

I haven't seen the original Macross, however I don't think Shin appears again anywhere (I'd be surprised, given what happens to him at the end of ep. 5...). However, Focker is a main char in the original series, and Wikipedia indicates another one as Claudia LaSalle (presumably Edgar's daughter).

I've only just finished watching FMA the other day, bit late I know but I really enjoyed it. I loved how the relationship between the two brothers played out. The 'end' was kinda weird, just when you think you know everything they go and bring in this whole other world on the other side of the gate. Kinda wish they just got their original forms back and be done with it, but I guess we have to wait and see what happens in the movie next year /sigh. Didn't like how Edward (or Eduwardo ) wanted to study space travel, to get back to the original world he came from, thought that was a bit silly but otherwise great series

Bleach, comes across as pretty average at the mo. I enjoyed the first episode more so than the following 3 I've seen so far, hope it gets better and tries to things which aren't very similiar to the things which happen in Naruto (breaking free from the 'Kidoh' in Ep1 is very Naruto like)

Speaking of Naruto, I don't much like the filler arc going on right now, kinda lost interest in it. Waiting for ANBU's episode 106 to come out so I can hopefully watch the end of this arc and get closer to the manga storyline. I made a few Naruto avatars if anyone wants to use em go ahead:
