New and current FS anime Topic

Now, can someone give me the lowdown on Gundam Seed, and on the characters that are back in Destiny? I just want the Reader's Digest version, just so I don't get completely lost in the plot twists that already seem to be happening.

These are the returning characters that are officially credited (in no particular order):


- Kira Yamato - Protagonist of Gundam SEED and the pilot of the Strike and Freedom Gundams.
- Cagalli Yula Athha - Biological sister to Kira Yamato, and now in charge of Orb (neutral organisation in the previous war).
- Athrun Zala - Kira Yamato's childhood friend and rival Gundam pilot in the previous war. Now works as a bodyguard for Cagalli under the alias "Alex Dino".
- Lacus Clyne - Daughter of one of Zaft's bigwigs (I forget his name, sorry) and a pop idol of sorts. Provided access to the Freedom to Kira and now seems romantically linked with him.
- Murrue Ramius - Captain of the Archangel, where Kira and co resided during SEED.
- Miriallia Haw - Friend of Kira's and chose to fight alongside the Naturals during the war.
- Dearka Elsman - Pilot of the stolen Buster Gundam from SEED. Fought alongside Kira and co towards the end of the series.
- Yzak Joule - Pilot of the stolen Duel Gundam from SEED.
- Andrew Bartfield - Worked for Zaft and was badly injured during a fight with the Strike Gundam in the desert. Returned to assist Lacus Clyne towards the end of the series.

If anybody spots anything missing or something I've noted down wrong, please feel free to mention it. Its been over a year now since I last watched SEED.

Here a brief plot guide from what i remember (total spoilers and spelling/grammar mistakes)

Kira end up in a middle of attack, lead by best pal Authran(sp?) who he hasen't seen since he was a kid, to steal the 1st gen GUNDAM's the get 3/4 of them and kira ends up in the last 1, fight breakout kira ends up on earths new battleship archangel, basically after that its lots of fighting as ZAFT(authran/PLANT/space peeps) chase the earth battleship 'archangel' across the solar system on its way back to earth, lots of people end up dead, kira and Authran both end up killing each other close friends, stealing loves interests and then finally catch up for final battle where authran wins by blowing up his and kira Gundam in a self destruction, authron escapes and thinks hes killed kira, as alot of angst about and meet Kagalli, kira's love interest at the time(later on turns out to be kira's sister), then i think there alot of fannying about in space while kira out of action, still alive(somehow) and recovering in a ZAFT colney, he falls for Authrans soon to be wife Lacus, they both ecape ZAFt with new protype Strike GUNDAM, lots more fighting back to earth insues with the mask guy(also a Newtype human) pulling the strings, and a crazy women Fray falling for Kira in a revenge to get kira to kill(more ZAFT, for her earth father death in a battle with ZAFT, and kira not a earthing but born ZAFT, he also gets alot of sex from fray to).

the there a big battle of earth big base, alot of people die and GUNDAM pilots change sides as a new faction(earth side) Blue comso(maybe) come with 3 earth built GUNDAM's piloted by crazy(but cool)druggies, authran and Deakka join archangel as it ends out to space again, to stop the mask guy from pulling the string at ZAFT to use WMD on earth(huge lazer cannon thing) so the war will continue so he can get he jollies off on it, it also make them tratiors of earth by running away from them after the earth turned there big base into a huge trap bomb thingy.

so basically the last fight is Earth vs archangel vs ZAFT,

earth -> lots of ships, new gundam strike copies, 3 GUNDAM's(druggies) and archangel copy battleship piloted by the former 2nd in command of archangel but WMD nukes fighters

ZAFT -> lots of ships,mechs, space stations, BIG CANNON THINGY, 1 GUNDAM(buster) and maskguy in a very nastly powered GUNDAM

Archangel - the ship, Kira and Authran in 2nd GUNDAMS, Kagalli Orb ship with it on Strike GUNDAM copies, Dekka(duel GUNDAM) and Fraga in kira remodeled strike(also newtype human like Maskguy)

Basically cannon fires once, the all rush to stop it firing again, buster turns to archangels side and fights with dekka(duel) to stop earths WMD nukes, kira/authran fight druggies, archangel/fraga/kag fight other archangel ship(nemsis).

Aurthan and Kag go off to blow up CANNON THINGY, 3 druggies die at the hand of Duel/buster and Kira, nemsis ship kills fraga in a desprate final attack(he saves archangel with that one), archangel kills nemsis, kira fights maskguy in final showdown, maskguy is on the edge, sees escape ship from nemsis(carrying fray, who got taking hostage during earth battle) and uses it to make an escape by blowing it up, kira makes save, kira notices fray and he all super happy, but maskguy come sout the blue and blows up ship with fray on it, we then have touching moment with fray 'spirit' saying sorry for the touble she caused for kira and that she loves, kira then goes nuts and finishes of maskguy while the CANNON THINGY blows up, the end.

Just like Trigun, except that instead of being good it's ecchi.

Anyway, regarding gundam seed dvd's, so far there have beeen 3 released, with 4 and 5 due out in december. Having said that, you might be able to find a batch torrent somewhere online and save yourself some money.

School rumble just gets better and better IMO. Watched ep2 today, and loved it nearly as much as the first ep. I cant wait to see what crazy **** they'll be pulling out in the coming eps. I especially like the end theme and animations, "its all about timing!". So true >_<

My joint favourite series alongside gd-destiny is beck. I ****ing love the manga, the music is phenomenal, animation dark and gritty, dialogue is top drawer and it reminds me of my beloved FLCL constantly. This is my personal recomendation to anyone looking to start watching a new series, or someone who is just plain bored. If only to listen to the ENGRISH.

Whens the next ep of BECK due from AE?

Gundam D ep 2 was quite good, looks like there setting up that female pilot as a replacement for Fray's crazyness last season(which is good, fray is the best character in SEED), and we already have the newtypes come in to play, and the maskguy gets to be the new Fraga

Got a bit watch when i get home, samurai7 13-15, Maria-sama spring ep9 and it special 6(woohoo),

yeah i havent read the Beck manga but out of all the recent anime releases this is at the top of my list. its got attitude. The realism appeals to me also. I already feel that the characters in the anime will be its strong point but i also like the music too, not just the OP and EP but the bits played during the anime.

Cant wait for ep2

hard to get them sometimes(i couldn't get ep 13 for ages), just right click as save to ur HD and load them from there if u get the chance to d/l them.

if you can't get them i still, have BT's for ep 13 and 15, i can e-mail you them.
