Fate Stay/Night ep 24 - Thought it was a good ending to the series. Bittersweet is one word I'd use to describe it. Animation for the fights and in general was top notch. I actually preferred the first OP song that was played for the first half of the series, although the new one wasn't too bad.

Kind of sad they didn't get together in the end. I also wonder if she is actually dead. I didn't quite get that part. Apparently she was dreaming when she spent all that time with Shirou, so if she's closing her eyes again does that mean she might be dreaming again? and then she'll be back in the same time and place as Shirou?

. Good series overall, although Shirou was very annoying at the start of the show.

Melancholy of Suzumiya Haruhi ep 11 - Another great episode. Loved the whole thing. Favourite bits -

The bit where Kyon realises he's going to have to quickly move the pictures of Mikuru that he had saved, elsehwere if they lose the game. Then when he says "At least we have Nagato" cut to a scene where she's waving the mouse around in the air and then he goes "I take that back". The really obvious Gundam parody as well was pretty funny. Particularly the way Kyon's VA says "Ikimasu!" . Very nice cg as well, for the ships and space battles in general.

One Piece 191&192 - Well it was being built up for a while but that fight was ace, well worth the wait.

Really touching moment at the end there, when Luffy finally manages to hit the Golden Bell

. It's gotten much better, tbh I didn't think much of the arc when they first made it to Skypiea. But the introduction of Enel and the rest really made it for me. Plus I liked the backstory between "Liar" Norland and Calgara. 193 is out haven't seen it yet though.

I could I forget about One Piece end to Enel?s skypiea arc!!! They could have fit 191-193 in to 1 ? episodes easily which would have annoyed me a lot if had be weeks apart, but instead it was days .

The last fight between Luffy and Enel made a lot more sense than the manga panels for once and his Golden Rifle move rocked along with Golden Bell ringing out for everyone to hear in 193 really topped it off well, was quite touching when you Viper start cheering on Luffy when he learns about them doing it for Norlands ancestor.

Sadly we get a filler arc next which will last abit before the ace Water7 and SPoL arc?s, only 60/70 odd eps behind now.

Do you know how long this next filler arc lasts for? Or alternatively about what episode the next main arc of one piece begins?

From what i know it won't be that long (certainly not dragon island long), maybe 10 eps arc(seems they get trapped in Walled Marine base and seprated) at most with Foxey Crew arc next (+ a manga filler arc with a few extra games just for the anime) before they get to meet Akogi for an asskicking and they couple of one off fillers before water7.

I think the main Water7 arc starts around ep 219.
Actually that ep shows just the end or the davy cricket(??) fight when luffy sports a afro and boxing gloves
Then its the journey onto Water7

You'll have to excuse me if this has already been posted but I did a thread search and couldn't see it anywhere.

Any GITS:SAC fans might want to know that there is a new 100 minute long feature, set two/three years after the end of 2nd GIG, being made by the SAC team.

Was due to be released this summer but has been postponed, hopefully not for too long

There is a clip here from TAF 2006, if you haven't seen all of the the first and second gigs you might want to skip the first one and a half minutes.

Guess it?ll be the final SAC before the first movie. Makes want to watch all Gits:SAC again

                Nana ep10 ? very good,

Bassist is found and we get some NanaXNana fan-service, I didn?t think they would be leaning with NanaXNana as they both have (some sort) relationships but there?s plenty of hinting now, specially with Sachiko actually turning up next to Enji which is bloody ace

Juuousei ep3 to 7 ? Been catching up with the show over the last few days, very good stuff art and animation stay to a high level.

Thor rise to power is pretty good from his relationship with Tiz and the Third using him as he only way fo the planet and tricking him into that fight with Orca ring then leader, shame most of the characters don?t last to long (even if they are in the credits) but it?s a fast moving show. Not sure if I would have liked to have seen events between the time jump but I guess it?ll be down to hunting down the manga and reading it. I like how Zagi also made his way to the top, and eventually met with Thor again, years and years after he gave Thor vital advice on surviving.

Haruhi ep 12 - Not as funny as the previous episode but like I've said for most of the series I personally don't think the comedy is the main point to the series. In this episode other stuff made up for it. Very reminiscent of the few episodes I've seen of Beck(up to ep 4 I think, must finish the series one of these days).

The scene where they're given the change for the Yakisoba from the cosplay cafe was probably one of the funniest bits, especially Kyon trying to get away with all the change until Taniguchi notices him slipping the coin into his pocket. The reactions from the audience to Mikuru in the movie was also quite funny I thought. Loved the scene at the end between Haruhi and Kyon, reminded me of that bit in episode 9 where she's with Kyon when he's sleeping the club room or something. Always nice to see her softer side as her being bitchy all the time whilst often entertaining can get quite tiresome and even disturbing. The performance as well was really good, enjoyed both the songs and thought the animation was brilliant throughout those scenes.

Another slice of life episode I guess but I enjoyed this a bit more than ep9. Next episode is supposed to be a good 'un as it gets back to the main story.

i thought that was a brilliant episode, nice to have a reasonably normal episode after all the weird stuff.

and that song she sang was excellent, must get hold of that at some point.
edit: got it already and didnt realise

Indeed a good episode, almost H'n'C quality. Pretty everything was mentioned that stood out andim sure there we're more nods and cameo to other animes and pop cuture i missed outside of Hard Gay hasseling Kyon

Well most of my recent anime besides the must watch stuff(Haruhi, Black Lagoon for example) has taken a back seat to Planetes, which I finally finished off. What can I say? Easily one of my top 10 animes of all time, as I mentioned previously had everything that I enjoy about anime. Even some romance in later episodes which was nice. The series did take a much darker turn towards the end. Series spoilers

All in all I was very satisfied with the way it ended, particularly because I got what I wanted(Tanabe and Hachimaki together). It was quite the happy ending except for Hacimaki being away from Tanabe for 7 years. Loved the fact that they got married and are having a baby from the looks of Tanabe at the end there.

I kind of figured Hakim was a terrorist before it was revealed because he was acting really dodgy during the tests. Didn't suspect Claire though. One of the most annoying characters in the series for me. I leapt for joy when she got shot and looked like she was finished. Couldn't stand her at some points and I wish Tanabe hadn't saved her. Hachimaki also did get on my nerves abit but that's because of the way he treated Tanabe more than anything. I also think it was because he still wasn't quite right in the head either and so wasn't acting like himself. Loved the reunion scene on Earth plus the reunion scene in space. That 2-2 minute scene with them in space was very touching particularly the proposal at the end. I was literally smiling from ear to ear. Loved the music throughout the show as well, particularly the song that was playing during the ending.

I'd love to see a sequel if they ever do make one(I know it's based on a manga that's finished) or even some OVA episodes which take place around the time Hachimaki gets back from Jupiter. 7 years is enough time for lots to happen on Earth and in space, so it would be pretty interesting. More than that though I'd just like to see Tanabe and Hachimaki as a married couple , would make for some good viewing for me. Particularly if they kept the slice of life feel to it. Wishful thinking I guess.

. Top series and one that I'd highly recommend to anyone who likes a bit of scifi/more realistic anime or something with a bit of a relaxed feel to it. Great characters, an interesting story when it does get going, great music, animation, some interesting developments between main characters and overall quite unique for a scifi show. One of the few anime where I've been left really satisfied with the way it ended.

                            Yep, very good.

I liked it when Hachi started going insane, following nothing but his dream and Hakim is a total bastard (he got those ?ninja?s? killed dammit), he never did get his comeuppance which should have happened instead of that sick girl on the moon playing outside in space suits (from what I remember).

I?m waiting on dormei to release there sub of Strawberry panic ep12, accidentally read some spoilers for it and now I badly want to see it ;_;, strangely it ended up in my only 3 shows at the moment I must watch as soon as I?ve downloaded it (others being Black Lagoon and Haruhi)

Totally forgot about the ninjas You're right that Hakim was a bastard for his involvement in their deaths. Can't believe I forgot about that. Still he didn't really piss me off all that much, except when he spouted some bull**** as a terrorist. Claire on the other hand was a bitch before she became a terrorist and a bitch afterwards. Tbh I wouldn't have shed a tear if they had both been gunned down during the attack.

As for Hachimaki, well like I said the main reason I got annoyed was because of how he treated Tanabe. I admired the fact that he was so determined to achieve his dreams. In particular that one scene where the really popular sports star is taking the test and she ****s up and needs rescuing. One or two of them go after her but he's still fully intent on passing the test. I thought that was cool, as I immediately thought he'd be one of the first down there to rescue her. So it was surprising when he didn't.

Strawberry panic well it's heading that way. Must say I'm getting more intrigued by it. I've been behind on that but seen ep 7 where there's a few wtf moments. Also seems to be some scheming and backstabbing going on behind the scenes with the Etoile, which is what's making it so interesting. Well that and the rampant lesbians all over the campus

JuuOhSei eps 2&3 - Saw the first episode about a month ago and really liked it. The group I was following at the time seemed to have stalled so I picked up Black Sheep's releases who have some experienced subbers I believe. Seen these two episodes now and they were fantastic. I really like Thor as a main character. Really cold, calculating and generally all action. Unlike his annoying brother Rai.

I'm hoping that's the last of him but I can't see it. I'm pretty sure he's there in the OP with fighting what looks like an older version of Thor.

Nice action, lovely animation and some really nice backgrounds. I like the setting as well, even gotten over the noses as well BONES can do no wrong for me at the moment, pretty much every show of theirs that I've seen has been ace in one way or another.

Saiunkoku Monogatari ep2 - again the same thing really saw the first episode a month ago and liked what I saw. Ayu are still subbing it I believe but they're on episode 2, whilst wesuck are on episode 5. It's a 39 episode series so it has the potential to become epic in scale. At the moment it's just starting out but it basically seems to be at this point, a slightly less serious perhaps more romance orientated versioin of Juuni Kokki. Still early days yet but I can't see the current situation being stretched out for 39 episodes, which is where my thinking that it might take on a bigger scale with perhaps more countries getting involved comes in. Slight drop in art/animation but I guess I've been spoilt by other shows. There's a strong female lead in there, again reminiscent of Juuni Kokki, loaded with pretty boys and for the time being at least is focusing on the problems present within the country at present. No fantasy elements in it so far(by this I mean stuff like flying animals, magic etc..), it's sort of a feudal japan setting. Worth checking out.

JuuOhSei - your right about the older stuff but thats not his brother Rai, you should be able to recognize the younger version of that guy from the 1st episode.

Also Strawberry Panic ep12 wooo, and One Piece 194, can't wait to get home.
