Code Geass ep7 - first half was emo, then we get good'ole Zero back by the end thanks to Karen being awesome as always... if only things turned out like below if Karen had a back bone.

hey, its been a while since i posted, but ive been busy with uni and a certain 360 game, thankfully im done with uni now

anyways ive been loving the baccano ova, graham is abit of a legend, i know its due to the same va, but he so reminds me of if gintoki went abit of the deep end, those crazy antics with the wrench were brilliant, like Jeff says it really does deserve a second series

i may be abit late to the party, but ive finally got round to starting Aria today, only watched the first 4 eps so far but its great stuff, so laid back and easy going, great feel good stuff

Da Capo 2:S2 ep6 - About bloody time, Hello plot! We're only halfway through season2 and it turned up at last. But better late than never as it was a good reveal,

When that mentioned that the events happened 50 years ago to give us a proper time frame for DC2 and then name dropping Junichi followed up by meeting him was fecking cool, everytime they mentioned a legend the fanboy in me was shouting their names out , was slightly disappointed Junichi didn't have photo of the crew and there was no Nemu around either , still gives we hope we might see Moe/Mako and Kotori as grand parents. Im pretty sure this now makes the Asakura, Junichi grand duaghter and Nanaka's Kotori grand kid.

6eps left to clean up DC2, Koko stuff still up inthe air, a lack of Kotori, Minatsu(robot) vanished out of sight and isn't even mentioned which is really stupid.. just feels like nothing going to get sorted outside of the triangle between Sisters and Sakurai.

Well I'm finally done with uni too Now I can hopefully get stuck into a certain game and some anime.

Code geass ep 7 - I saw the picture tobal posted before watching the episode so I was pretty much laughing throughout that whole scene. Not really alot else to say about it. Still enjoying it.

Macross ep 7 - alot more action packed that was and the bit with the Macross Quarter was pretty ridiculous and awesome at the same time. Saw it coming from a mile off but still... Plus I liked most of the new inserts songs as well which is always a nice bonus. A bit hard to keep focused on some of the action at times. Animation a bit of a let down in places as well and it looks like it could get worse in the next episode.

Finished up Solty Rei. It really didnt need to be 26 episodes long, they could have done the story in half of that, it got kinda dull in the middle but picked up again nearer the end.

Hooray for Macross Quarter!

Just started on Monochrome Factor, not sure what to make of it yet.

Also started on Desert Punk, pretty funny

Macross Frontier 7 -- The musical numbers feel a bit forced in that episode. Like they're trying to redo "Information High" from Macross Plus, not succeeding, aware of that and just keeping on trying harder. Weakest episode so far, although still enjoyable, and some of the CGI looked great.

Maybe I'm just getting sick and tired of every single non-super mecha show since Evangelion featuring an emo whiney bitch as their main male protagonist. What happened to the cocky bastards with no survival instinct whatsoever? What happened to the punchline-spouting, ever-grinning berserkers who made the whole Top Gun cast look like boring, insecure introverts? What happened to Isamu Dyson, dammit!


As a side note, I've always been a big fan of the work done on human-machine interfaces in Macross: they look slick, they look innovative, and best of all, they look *practical* (yes, Minority Report, I'm looking at not-you). So far Frontier seems to be following the trend set in Plus and Zero: stuff that does look like it'd work like that. Well, if you except that obviously-looped fingers-of-fury hacking bit in this episode .

Nijuu mensou - started catching up on this and it's awesome. 2 more episodes left and I'm fully caught up on the recent subs. Sort of reminds me of what little I've seen of Lupin III although a lot more straight-faced.

Toshokan ep 6 - my love for the show deepens with every passing episode. I loved some of the self-referential lines from Komaki's monologue. I honestly think the show is cleverer than people seem to give it credit for. Reading through some of the interesting stuff in the asuki thread on it has just increased my admiration for it. I'm actually hoping someone brings the novels over now. I'd be interested to see what, if anything, has been left out in the show so far.

For some reason, I had visions of geass' first season where as soon as they do something serious, they do something stupid like the giant pizza or the cat chase. Still, things are looking up with that new guy turning up and hints of Ranka's mysterious whatever.

More VF stuff, less Sheryl please!

Edit: Golgo 13 5+6: 5 was a bit mehish but still good but I love episode 6. It's always great to see how clever Golgo is at getting out of tough spots after accomplishing a shot.
