didn't Watanuki's eye change colour in the last episode because of what happened. In the new one, its gone back to the normal colour. I thought he looked cooler with a different eye, made him more unique. Shame they never kept it.

Kaiba 2: Still looking and sounding great but apart from that oh god my head is melting what the hell is going on?! Although, saying that the only thing I really didn't get was

Anybody know what has happened to the Baka Wolf website and forum? Went on to get some new episodes to be greeted by an ominous sounding vBulletin message reading "and then there were none".

Caught up on a couple of lesser shows.

Cubby Drive ep1/2 - nothing really makes any sense, nice animation and the character design is certainly very different.. not seen cubby/stocky women since Air Master.

Kaiba ep2 - very wtf, the show reminds me alot of LEX, maybe due the amount of random murder and death(and bonkers story).

Amatsuki ep1-2 - ok, but i was surprised it seems to be almost Code Geass stragtey to beat people instead of typical shounen fighting.

library Wars ep1-3 .... just as i think zap said, fun but really fecking stupid plot... i can't quite get other the shear stupidness of killing over books (RoD somehow manages it )... reminds me alot of gunparade but at least that to me seems more plausible than this story

I think "killing over books" is rather simplifying it and making it appear needlessly more stupid than it already is IMO. It's more like a fight for the right of access to information and a fight against censorship gone wrong I suppose. But yeah it'll prove to be a major stumbling block for people, as it appears to be the case already.

For my part I enjoyed the character interactions and stuff the most, and now that you mention it I can see the Gunparade March thing. It's already a bit of a favourite of mine (as you can probably tell ) and I think it has the potential to be a real personal favourite like FMP is. We'll see I guess. I'm just hoping nothing goes horribly wrong for the remainder of it.

Maid Guy ep 3 - That pretty much sealed it for me. Best fanservice show going. He's got the Sousuke vibe going, where he seems to not know the "normal" thing to do in most situations. I want to see more of his potions...

Good news and bad news. Good news. Aria got licensed and the entire first season will be available in a subs only box set for $40 in the autumn (Hopefully it stays reasonable like that for a release over here).

The bad news is that decent subbers for The Origination series HnK have dropped it because of this. Just as they were going to release ep 10 it looked like. I can only hope crystalnova will still release it.

Edit: It seems ep 10 by hnk is floating around on irc and ddls still.

That's amazing news. Very glad about that. Even though I've already got the R2s preordered (with my lovely artwork box with the volume 1 DVD of Aria the Origination coming through this week too )I might be tempted to pick up the subbed versions too. Shame about the subbers but I think CrystalNova may carry on with it.

And Yeah Jeff ep 10 is around. They released it a few days ago and I managed to grab it. I'll put it up for people if the need is there

lol, i just watched ep10 5mins ago and came on to talk about... dam i really hope someone, anyone one (maybe AEN or CN) finish the last 2 eps, don't think i can sit around for 3/4 years while they release R1 dvd's.

anyway back to ep10 - fecking great, Aika being perhaps the cutest we've ever seen her and maybe wins the show best character with that performance, just to bad the deal wasn't sealed but it gave me a massive grin on my face through out the episode.

Well, there's always hitode-AEN's subs if you're really desperate for subs. I'm already slightly spoiled for the ending thanks to not scorlling fast enough on /a/ but I'd still like to see the ending properly for the full effect.

As you say though, ep 10 was definitely a winner with Aika. Had me smiling through the entire thing. President Maa's performance was also amazing, couldn't stop laughing.

Kaiba 3: This show impresses me the more I watch it. Equal parts depressing and funny this week.

Really hammers home the disposable nature of memories and bodies while exposing the awful consequences. 5 minutes of Chroniko and already I was gutted when they effectively "destroyed" her. Also, it seems Popo is part of the terrorist organisation too.

Kaiba ep3 - this show is LEX animated... the disposable'ness of characters that are quite moe or could easily be part of the seconday tier is just so like the live show. Like the ending where the mother regetted it, but still quite sad.

Maid Guy ep4 -not as funny as previous eps but the ex-ray vision makes a come back and his method of tracking a strawberry pair of pants was quite ingenious

Also got my Konota figmia model, closplaying haruhi. Trying to hold out from downlading speedsub of CGr2 ep5... i hear Suzaku being a big fecking dick in it lol, can't wait.

I downloaded some Code Geass super-speed subs by [WeWin]...they were terrible, even with my rudimentary understanding of Japanese I could tell they were wrong Downloaded another set by Chihiro which were much much better, good episode...I hate Suzaku.

Another good Macross eps too.

Another excellent episode of Maid Guy. Naeka's brother is excellent at the end.

I don't see the point in getting some of the speedsubs. I mean it's not like the other groups like gg or eclipse are releasing a couple of days later *shrugs* to each their own I suppose.

As for the ep, I don't have quite as much hatred of Suzaku as some (he merely irritates me at the worst of times) but I thought that was pretty well played. It'll be interesting to see how Lelou gets out of this one. Also this season seems to be really laying it on thick with the fanservice... I suppose that's good or bad depending on your viewpoint. I do hope they move away from the school setting soon. I was kind of hoping for this season to make things alot more epic in scale. Oh well, other than the ending probably the weakest episode for me so far. Still pretty enjoyable as geass usually is though

edit: looks like BSS are finishing off Aria the origination so at least there should be some decent subs for the final couple of episodes
