I read the first 4 or so chapters of Ika Musume a while back, was mildly entertaining, but not earth shattering.

I dropped Highschool of the Dead like a ton of bricks. Shallow characters and rediculous amounts of fanservice, if i wanted to see that kind of stuff i'd watch a hentai.

Its true, the amount of fanservice is AWFUL- especially during the 6th episode in the penthouse, but the zombie survival elements and action are great- especially in the recent episods- im enjoying it!

think i will keep a look out for Star Driver and Super Robot Taisen this fall but i have been looking at clips of K-on and i really like what i have seen so i will have to find a way to watch it.

Yay they've announced they're continueing on the Genshiken manga with Oguie as club president. Awesome news

I loved Genshiken, thought it got even better when the heavy romance stuff was introduced. Not enough romantic series with believable relationships targetted at guys.

Edit: LOL Heroes 13: Just when I think the politic-y stuff is getting boring, they throw in some interesting new stuff with Gastark. For an average sounding storyline, this is doing alright!

Guys what are your opinions of paying for bootleg anime??

I'm not talking brand new Fansub stuff that you all watch & can download easily I'm talking LONG out of print series?

Basically I've found someone who can supply me the whole Force Five series from the early 80's (Gaiking, Spacekateers, Grendizer etc.) & I'm wondering your stand on paying for things like this.

This is basically the series that got me into Anime as a kid back in the early 80's when I could rent the VHS from a local shop & I've been trying to get hold of it it ever since & this set has come up & I'm sorely tempted but I'm just wondering on what you all think.

Years back before fast internet and being readily available as they are now i bought the Transformers Masterforce series on CDR's and was thrilled to bits. Well, when i watched it I was somewhat joyed, let's not go overboard now.

Funny you should bring that series up because I did the same for the whole Japan saga...Headmasters, Masterforce & Victory
They had the worst subtitles I've ever encountered but at that time it was the closest I thought I'd ever get to seeing them so was pretty happy.

Reckon I'll make an offer & see what he says.

Time skip One Piece has hit the webs.

Apparently Oda has said this is the final stretch for the manga (although not the final arc). Given the scale and abilities shown in the War arc, it's probably best it's coming to a conclusion.

Still several years left in it though, could be a few more arcs till it gets to the end.

Autumn anime starts hitting this week too \o/
