Just saw the new Yozakura Quartet restart ova. A lot happier with how this is looking. A lot more humour and less forced drama is making this actually decent. Animation seems a bit iffy in a couple of places but I really like the look of this.

Unfortunately, now to wait until April for the continuation.

Fairly surprised given that it's a seinen manga about S&M. Also doing a live action series which is bound to be crap.

Been working my way through Crest/banner of the Stars after buying R1 dvd's of ebay, very 90's art style to say the least. Quite enjoying it, from small beginings to massive space fleet spaces that play out more like naval battles(especially when plane space is involved), only negative things so far have been the reuse of alot of footage during battles which i can't blame for with the scale of things and the lack of decent Char like enemy or anything on the enemy other than there shooting a ****ton of mines, although its been quite refreshing to it avoid the tropes of prototype super ships and beginners triumphing at every turn. Just starting Banner of Star 2, and managed to find Aone's(so old school) ancient subs for BoS 3 so i'll have that to watch afterwards.

Just fyi, on lolipower.org, there's a director's cut version of Banner 3 that adds a few more scenes which helps it somewhat.

I loved Crest/Banner. The story behind the war gets a little lost but it puts some awesome focus ont he characters most notabley Jinto and Lafiel.

Today has been Gundam day! I'm sure most of us have been downloading Gundam Unicorn ep2. The art and animation are step beyond everything else out, everything fromthe robots to the subtle face movement is superbly done. As for this episode it was more story and plot than Robots blowing each other up,

but Chars apperance was certainly pleasing.. wether or not he's the real deal is a bit annoying, certainly seems skilled enough and Unicorn overwhelming powering is always fun to watch.

The World God Only Knows is a great adaptation, Sora no Otoshimono is setting up for some big drama , Soredemo is fun although, like SZS, some scenes in their entirety don't work. Oreimo is enjoyable even if the brother is a bit too willing to make himself hated by everyone.

Still enjoying all the series I'm following so far. To-love-ru is delivering on the fanservice but having to wait a week for the ATX version is torture. Hope they adapt some of the more creative chapters as the series goes on.

Panty & Stocking is my favourite show this season. Since I don't have much time to watch anything, it's nice to leave my brain at the door before I sit down to watch it, it's bonkers.

Just finished off Angel Beats from my backlog. I'm torn between liking this and not. It felt really off with it's pacing of the series and seemed to have way too many characters to accurately portray in a 13 episode series. I reckon they could have done a much better job of it had they allowed it a full 26 episode series although I don't know how they'd have kept the storyline going for that long.

Wasn't totally convinced by the ending either really. The scene with

Otonashi and Kanade just felt extremely over dramatically forced especially when ends up obliterating himself anyway.

Overall good idea but wasted.

Edit: I'll still totally be watching the extra episode released at Christmas though.

whole heart thing right

at the end, and its short run made the ending not as good as it could have been with people disappering off screen, leaving only the 5 of them left for a proper good buy, which i really enojoyed.

on to the other shows..

Finished Banner of Stars 2/3, the OVA certainly isn't enough for me and BoS2 seemed like alot of stupid mistakes made by the kids that could have been avoided plus we never found out if the Spoor Commander surivied which ticked me off, the last episode of 2 felt like that crammed in 2/3 eps worth of stuff. Lets hope the show won't go 10 years with out BoS 4 turning up.

im getting bored with God only knows so watch when i can be bothered as the setups for each new girl are getting stupidier by the episode and it just feel so ****ty next to a decent(but not great) Amagami running in the same season.

MM which im still watching keeps going down this weird path of a short bout of serious then totally stupidity with the whole DBZ super hentai stuff, alot of the jokes and setups miss the mark for me but those that stick i do enjoy.

Ore no Imouto - probably the best show this season, just edging out my other fav's. Can't stand the sister character as she just a complete retard bitch but the bro(those is certainly a dick for ignoring the childhood friend) and the other characters make up for it.

Star Driver - finally got alittle serious and gave us some actual plot after episodes of monster cybody of the week.

Index II - i already knew it was going to be badly paced but dam it feels like every arc could be done 3eps, the railgun team in ep6 just felt like it took forever and delivered nothing(as normal). I hate this show sometimes but i can't help but tune in.

Panty/Stocking transformer episode was brilliant, as was the previous ep's fight with Stanky and Kneesocks.

stilling watching Soredemo, ika Masume, tamayura and Kuragehime, all being the better shows of the season for me, and One Piece just continues to be ace, Luffy landing infront of the generals was really epic

P&S just keeps getting better and better each week, like you said the last two were brilliant and was surprised the Transformers one actually managed to top the Scanty and Kneesock one. It's pretty shameful but I love it

Kind of annoying how Soredemo's art has taken a nosedive in quality. Not half as well animated now as in earlier eps.
