    Strawberry Panic ep12 - OOoooooOOOooo,

Nagisa x Shizuma. It was certainly coming but wow did she try to force before mystery girl popped in to Shiz's head while groping Nagisa in ?I can?t move my body? mode (also where?s Nagisa been hiding them puppies). Looks like this could end Shiz?s relationship with Nagisa and im hoping Tamao gets in there, before others do (seems the entire school in to her).

Gash Bell ep72 ? Another good episode from gash which again carried on doing what it knows best, letting the good guys get the crap beat out of them while trying really, really hard.

This time was bit to much as we lost Kid who when out with a big bang and i was holding back the tears? great stuff.

    Nana ep 11- top episode,

Puppy Nana running out of luck, losing her job and having no money (I could see a mile off the shop owners wasn?t confessing but firing her). And Sachiko being sickening super cute, so much so Mr.cool was falling for it, that little ploy with the shoe was excellent and I hope we haven?t seen the last of her, but it seemed likely as she didn?t want to steal Enji from his girlfriend cos she?s so good girl . And Yasu coming back at the end to form the band was great doing that Big brother role for rocking Nana.

One Piece ep194 ? nearly finished, some nice bits with Gol D Roger following the gliffs which I?ve forgotten about being so far ahead in the manga, bring on the filler.

Utawarerumono ep10-11, feels like Dynasty Warriors sometimes ,

really like the merc cat girl and her one handed heavy cleaver, and it finally starting to get somewhere with that guy?s forgotten past which is good job as so far its all been about him trying to secure his homeland, shame that village that had rescued him got raized to ground .

Eureka Seven ? ep39,40. Last of the filler eps with 39,

with a football match and some funny bits, one being Eureka facial expression + saying ?Don?t drag me down? when Renton can?t pass to save his live, and them both using Leader?s face a spring board for super double volly. Ep40 gave us the new opening and ending credits, which I liked a lot, best so far specially the ending credits, reminds of those WW2 pictures of child you sometimes see, as for the story it starting to advance along again and we somehow look to get a longer haired version of Eureka and Renton next episode (somehow) to match up with the opening credits.

XXXholic ep7,8? the witch is starting to annoy me greatly,

just letting that person die for no good reason makes her no better than some of the murderous spirtis they deal with and that just really grats with me.

Fighting Beauty Wulong ep1-3, what a stinker, so far nothing at all has happened in ep3 I was hoping for a couple of decent fights but sod all, im going to download the 4-6 just see if this improves when they get into the ring.

Air Gear eps 8 & 9 - Yeah the manga is supposed to be better, the animation isn' spectacular and everything but I've enjoyed the anime so far. Can't help but laugh at some of their antics particularly

the running joke about Ikki needing to take a **** when he goes out, plus the scene where he does take a dump, thought that was hilarious. That horny teacher's a bit crazy too

. Will probably check out the manga sometime.

Eureka 7 - I don't really think much of the new songs but the new credits do look nice. Seems like the last of the filler and the story is going to start advancing again. Judging by the title of the next episode "Acperience 3" it could be one of those weird, trippy episodes. I'm sure you guys remember the earlier episodes with the similar titles which had loads of strange things going on.

Good Witch of the West eps 5 & 6 - Really like this show, just a shame not many people seem to watch it. There's a nice romance developing between the main characters, setting is quite unique and interesting and I've liked the story developments so far. Only 13 episodes as well.

RAY the animation eps 6 & 7 - there's more episodes out but I haven't seen them yet. Story is picking up, the show is a tad predictable(even I managed to guess who was on the other end of the phone at the end of ep7) and formulaic but I'm enjoying it all the same. There is some medical stuff in there but it's not enough(I think) to put anyone off. Most of it seems to be concentrating on Ray, her past and all the people connected to that. Alot of the medical bits seem fantasy more than anything there's not a huge amount of jargon to confuse you with. Worth checking out as well since the series is also 13 eps I believe.

Black Lagoon also seems to have ended at episode 12 which has been shown recently in Japan. There are some rumours flying around of a second season, though nothing's concrete just yet, so fingers crossed we get an official announcement soon to confirm it.

      Loads still to watch

Air Gear?s manga is lot, lot better than the anime and as we get lot more of Ikki?s gang background and where all his fighting lust comes from, they also introduce him to AT differently (the 3 girls reveal there AT skills and give him AT?s, instead of him stealing them and finding out) and most of the fights/battles have key differences. Also the fan service is uncensored and the violence is gorier.

Just seen the episode myself but that person wasn't exactly blameless. Some of the wishes and stuff she had granted were pretty shocking. Okay it was just a thought process, but when you know you've got something in your possession that grants wishes you don't go around saying I wish there was an accident or something. What about that person that died in the accident then? She died for no good reason just because that girl with the paw didn't want to be late for her teaching assessment. Overall she was an arrogant person who wouldn't listen to the others because she thought she was special. Doumeki even said during the episode that bad things usually happen to those who use the monkey's paw and she laughed it off. Her last wish was "Eliminate everything from my sight", now that in itself is a pretty dangerous wish. Whilst the witch could have intervened, she hasn't really done it before with that girl who kept on telling lies for example. We are talking about the girl with the paw right?

Naruto ep190?ish something or whatever last released ep was ? given up remember episode numbers now, but for once we get decent fight and unsurprisingly its from Hinata again, which is about the only all this ****ty fillers got right is watching her get stronger.

Loved the trickery involved just like how naruto use to do before relying on his Kyuubi power to much, she took a naste punch in the stomach and still got the hit in and landed on her head (good ole saint seiya style) from a fall.

I?m really hoping we?ve had a years worth of filler end on ep200 which it?s getting close to and we can finally get back to the main story (got be enough main story(3 arcs worth completed) for to start now).

I hope so too. I've stopped watching both Naruto and Bleach properly. Just seems like a waste of time now that there are quite a few other much better shows to be watching. I usually just download the episodes and skip through them to see the jist of what was going on. Or read a summary, view screencaps of them on a blog. I'll wait until they both get back to the manga storyline before jumping back in.

i never bothered with the naruto manga before, but while the anime is bad i'm tempted to read it all.
but not sure which translations are the best ones to go for....i just got 312 by binktopia and jinchuuriki, and they are completely different on some panels. so which one is correct?

Up until they slowed down and stopped all together, Inane we're the choice for scans, nowerdays i use Japflap UK releases(the do french as well), who i say are very similar to the release style of manga7's Bleach stuff (LQ followed by HQ a day or 2 after).

Should be easy to find if you use manga version of bakaupdates, as japflap have a html site.

thanks for that, i'll have nice bit of catching up to do.

                      Haruhi ep 13 -

Plot exposition episode, with loads of dialogue and not so much action. Explains a lot though such as what that thing was that we briefly saw in the baseball episode. Also shows another side to Haruhi, as we see a bit about her past, which was probably one of my favourite scenes from this episode. Reminds me a lot of episode 3(airing time wise) the one where it's basically Yuki explaining stuff, only this time it's Itsuki. A bit deep as well with whole existence thing brought up by both Haruhi and Itsuki. Only downside was that there was less screen time for Mikuru(don't think she even made an appearance) and Yuki. I liked it, not the best episode in the series but it explains a lot of stuff so it's all good.

. Next week is the last episode

Oh and I got my Haruhi DVD Vol. 00 from yesasia. Fell in love with the series so much that I pre-ordered the JAP R2 DVDs. First time I've done that, although truthfully I'm also thinking about getting the Black Lagoon ones. But I think that's already licensed so I might just wait until the US versions come out.

Well the summer season has just about started now. A couple of shows have been scheduled for airing today. So I thought I'd post on some of the stuff I'm looking forward to, biggest thing being for me personally the 2nd season of H&C. Feel free to correct any mistakes I've made.

                        Coyote Ragtime Show
                        site: http://www.ufotable.com/coyote/
Mainly interested in this because of the trailer, a dangerous thing to judge an anime by I know. Action anime with high production values(again from the trailer at least), possible replacement for Black Lagoon. Nice music in the trailer as well. "The plot of the Coyote Ragtime Show is that there?s a planet called Graceland where a pirate king named Blues has left his 10 billion dollar inheritance. However, the government wants to destroy the planet because of the war there. The inheritance has been entrusted with a young girl named Franca, who gets involved with a first-class criminal named Mister and a death squad called Marciano?s 12 Sisters" shamelessly stolen from Omniscient's blog. For the trailer go to the site and then go to backdoor--> download. Worth checking out the trailer at least.

                        FLAG
                        site: http://www.flag20xx.net/
Camerawoman following around a group of mechs in the near future, war torn setting etc... Mainly of interest because it's always nice to have a bit of variety and other than Zegapain I haven't really seen that many mech shows recently.

                        Night Head Genesis
                        site: http://www.nighthead-genesis.jp
About two brothers who have ESP and are raised in a laboratory after their parents abandoned them. Both of whom from screenshots at least will pander to the female fans if you catch my drift. They're on the run having escaped from that facility. Supernatural thriller with realistic art or so it seems.

                        Tsuyokiss
                        site: http://www.tsuyokiss.jp/
H-game conversion, could be as big as Shuffle in terms of popularity. Easiest way to summarize would be a tsundere harem anime since most if not all the girls are supposed to be tsundere types(think Eri in school rumble personality wise). Since Da Capo and Shuffle have now finished I guess this will take over my harem anime slot, unless it's really poor.

                        Honey and Clover season 2
                        site: http://www.hachikuro.net/
Doesn't really need any explaining for those who saw the first season. Probably my most awaited show. I've been reading that there will be more drama less comedy this time around and that this will possibly be the last season of the show. Currently pencilled in for 13 episodes. For those who don't know it basically follows the trials and tribulations of a bunch of university students. One of the best slice of life shows I've seen IMO, so hopefully the 2nd season will keep to the same quality as the first.

                        Le Chevalier D'Eon
                        site: http://www.chevalier.tv/
Production I.G.(behind Blood+ among other things) gothic mystery set in 18th century France based on real person, referred to as "Le Chevalier D'Eon", investigating the murder of his sister.

                        Binbou Shimai Monogatari
                        site: http://www.toei-anim.co.jp/tv/binboushimai/
Translates to "Poor Sister's Story". Manga adaptation, and I'm told it's slice of life, so I guess we can expect to see how the sisters handle themselves during their daily lives. I'm interested in it, because I generally like any and all slice of life shows that I've seen to date. This might well fall into the same category.

                        NHK Ni Youkoso!
                        site: http://www.kadokawa.co.jp/hikky
Comparisons to Genshiken and other anime that focus on otaku have been made. Supposed to be darker than stuff like Genshiken. Another novel/manga adaptation, to be handled by GONZO. It is being scanlated but as usual I'll check the anime first then manga afterwards. Main character is a hikikomori, japanese term for someone who's withdrawn from society and is basically a social recluse I guess. I think he wants to take down the NHK or something, who he believes is involved in some sort of conspiracy. Deals with more serious issues and there's loads of black humour, is basically what I'm getting from comments I've read.

                        Zero No Tsukaima
                        site: http://www.zero-tsukaima.com/index.html
Same studio and similar cast to Shakugan No Shana, as well as some other similarities. Summaries suggest this will be more lighthearted. Based on a novel by the scenario writer that worked on Green Green, so it could well be high on the fanservice. Again possibly not a contender for the best show but it could be one of those shows I watch like Kage Kara Mamoru. Also has a similarly low episode count at the moment(13 IIRC). Involves a useless witch summoning a boy as her servant or something.

                        Bokura Ga Ita
                        site: http://www.bokuragaita.com/
based on a shoujo romance manga, so I'm expecting a romance along the lines of stuff like Nana, H&C and Paradise Kiss. Always up for more romance anime so we'll see how it goes.

                        Tonagura
                        site: http://www.starchild.co.jp/special/tonagra/
Another manga adaptation. Romantic comedy with some fanservice. Childhood friends reunited after a couple of years but the guy has become rather perverted. Not the most original premise and probably not for everyone but it could be one of those mindlessly fluffy shows that I usually watch.

                        Taiyou No Mokoshiroku
                        site: http://www.wowow.co.jp/anime/taiyo/
"A big earthquake demolishes the capital of Japan, and it splits the main land into halves. Japan is divided into the northern and the southern parts. They accept aides from two large countries, i.e., United States and China. However, actually, it is occupation named ?aid?. Many Japanese become refugees to go to foreign countries. But, the recovery from the disaster doesn?t work well, and frictions between the inhabitants and the refugees who can?t go home are getting serious." Taken from animenfo. Realistic art and the summary and screenshots I've seen look interesting enough. Currently down as a 2 episode special though apparently there's at least 11 volumes of manga material to work with so there maybe more episodes.

                        Kemonozume
                        site: http://www.wowow.co.jp/anime/kemono/
A story about a couple who are in love, but one literally turns into a monster while the other is an expert monster hunter. Billed as a romance/action/horror story, hints of a Romeo and Juliet type tragic romance? Haven't really looked up much about it but well it had me interested at romance.

Other stuff that maybe worth checking out includes Chokotto Sister(guy wishes for a baby sister only Santa grants his wish a couple of years later), Mamotte Lolipop, Project BLUE Chikyuu SOS(something to do with UFOs and I think it's got an OVA release schedule), Muteki Kanban Musume(cooking based comedy, possibly a Yakitate replacement) and Innocent Venus. I'm sure there's some stuff I've forgotten and I'll no doubt check out the first couple of episodes of all the new shows to see how I get on.

Some other summaries of new shows that people may find useful:

                        Comment

Ragtime looks good, be following NHK and Clover2 for sure. Rest will be on the 4ep show dump method. Shouldn?t be to long before we see Clover subs, ep1 RAW?s already out

Watched the last episode of Popotan, kind of enjoyed it although the season never really lived up to the first couple of episodes which is a shame, and popotan just got more and more annoying prompting me to cheer for the other girl who was certainly (imo) a better match for the boy.

                          Comment

The first episode of Honey and Clover season 2 is a recap of the previous season, with one or two new scenes in it. The new stuff starts next week apparently, which is kind of disappointing since the series is scheduled for 13 episodes so if they've just "wasted" 1 episode on a recap, it means we're only left with 12 more episodes

                            Comment

I'm really going to hate this season... I don't get to do H&C and one of the tlers has decided he wants to do nearly all of those zappster mentioned. I think I'll lay low this season and marathon H&C when solar finish subbing it.
