it is back with 3 OVA's (dubbed ep13,14,15) only 13 and 14 are out at the moment. Check the usual torrent places.
5 centimeters per second part 1 - Wow, fecking WOW!! even if the Kiss-sub isn't in HD, it is really beautiful, art is almost photographic and the animation is of Film levels, the music and sound effects are top quality to and the ending song. Story is quite simple, 12 year old Boy/Girl separate and go to different schools, decide to meet each other for the 1st time in (i think) a year, and thats all you really need to know, the ending is quite emotional(well it was for me
) and built up well through out the 30 mins. I think im gonna buy new PC so i can starting watching HD codec's and this is the first show to make me want to do it.

Death Note 24 -
So Light's plan has finally come to fruition. Have to say, it's been superbly done. I especially liked the fake "rules" he insisted upon to well and truly exonerate both himself and Misa from the ongoing investigation.
Now, Misa having done "the deal", surely Ryuuzaki is now on borrowed time? Absolutely loving this anime, one of the few programs I have to watch as soon as it's arrived.

Anyway the reason I quoted this was because I watched something that I thought looked quite impressive today. There was a special preview screening of the first episode of Seirei No Moribito and I checked out the raw. That looks very nice, some nice animation and gorgeous background art in it. It looks like it was quite high budget and with it being prelicensed I suppose they could afford to splash the cash. The HD version of that should look pretty special. The only thing now is if they'll be able to keep up that level for however many episodes they have.
Trying not to hype it too much but it looks like it could be something special, my only hope is that it doesn't fall into the same kind of traps as Blood+ did. Barsa(sp?) who seems to be the main character is kickass, love her weapon, look and general attitude. Some people have said she looks like Saya and with it being the same production studio I guess I can see the resemblance. However IMO she's got a much more likeable personality when compared to Saya. She's also quite old, if I'm not mistaken she said she was 30 (or was going to be). No whining and crying so far, lets hope it stays that way, though I suppose this may come from the other character that's with her. Music was also very nice throughout the episode. Opening theme seemed a bit out of place but I suppose the song wasn't too bad. It'll probably grow on me like most L'Arc en Ciel anime OPs tend to. ED was okay too. Um... yeah... better stop before I start rambling. Anyway I would just say check out the first episode for yourselves if/when it is subbed. I can post some screenshots if there's any interest. Though I suppose you can find them elsewhere if you really wanted to.Last edited by Zapp$ter; 30-03-2007, 00:42.

Death Note 24 - Excellent, like bleeders this (and Code Geass for me) are the two shows I HAVE to watch when they're released
Bushou Renkin 25 - I dont know what it was about this episode but I just didnt like it, maybe it was
the way they kept flipping zooming in on the moon like were goign to see Kazuki Vs Victor but then they'd just change scene to someoen else looking at the moon >_<

Watch Code Geass. It, Death Note and Red Garden are there best of last season.
Busou Renkin - 25 - It wasn't very good specially after ep24,
loved that bits when Tokiko/Kazuki got it together and then the final moment where the white kakugane failed and he let go of Tokiko. EP25 has just a, look at this these people coping with kazuki 'death' and i think the moon refferences where more for a sense time passing (30 days going by the 2 full moons that passed).
Bleach ep120 - Bah! how can they do such injustice to Ururu going nuts, poorly animated and Arrancar's retaliation "PG'd"
Also show us your pic's zap

Some images then from ep 1 of Seirei no Moribito. I've put them in as direct links in case people don't want to spoil themselves by looking at any images from the show before they watch it.
Images 6 and 7 are very similar because they are from the same scene and I believe it showcases some of the lovely background art. Bear in mind most of these are from in episode footage. Only one or two are from the OP and EDs. You might notice quite a few shots of the sky, but that's because it looks so pretty in some of them. Obviously might seem less impressive off the back of 5cm (going by what I saw of it from the trailer it looked superb) but I think it's a bit of unfair comparison because one's an OVA/movie type and the other's a fully fledged series. Anyway... enjoy (or don't as the case maybe). edit: looks better in motion though, one of the darker shots looks a bit crappy due to the quality of the screenshot... sorry about that
As for Busou Renkin 25... I dunno I enjoyed it and it almost brought tears to my eyesbut that might be because I'm sappy like that
. Agreed it wasn't as good as 24 though, I just think it was a good setup for what is going to be the final episode (or so I've read).

Looks pretty good, lets hope it doesn't take as long to get going as Blood+ did.
Also Shuffle! Memories, i read this morning that ep12 was a special 'extra' episode full of original content so i downloaded it. And it's bloody brilliant, chock full of fan service, set before the Asa/Kaede stuff so we get a bit of Psycho Kaede(WOOHOO! was lol), lots of nudity and some great one liners from Rim-chan.

Code Geass 23 - they sure got this out fast.
Just keeps getting better and better, did not expect her to die. Who's this VV? CC's rival? Aaah I want the next episode now! Dont want to have to wait until summer T_T
Nodame Cantible 10 & 11 - Some really amazing music in these two and the comedy keeps on going strongThe hand animations were spectacular, I wonder if they used some kind of mo-cap to do them.

So it seems like a second season of Shakugan No Shana is in the works. Yeah, yeah, I know it is april fools so I suppose we should take the announcement with a pinch of salt. If it's true it's scheduled for the fall season this year. I enjoyed shana, it was a nice show so I'm looking forward to this (if true of course).

inthe space of 2 episode Lulu managed to make part of his dream reality, but as a massive cost. So, so main 11's and brit's died, Euphie's gone after he lost conrtol of his Geass(that was one hell of nasty mess-up), Table'fker gone mad and seems to be piecing together Blue Lighting for revenge, V.V(who?) revealed Zero identity for that phone call at the end between Lulu and Suzaku oh and Orange-kun back

(IMO, it's a shame we didn't see Mine playing the hard rock violin after episode 2, though)

Marathoned the last five episodes of Code Geass last night. That was quite something.
Kind of felt sorry for Euphie. Things were looking rosy at one point with Lelouch seemingly getting behind her idea of the new zone then the geass goes haywire and the **** hits the fan. And Lelouch too... LOL at the United States of Japan
Loads of questions left to answer, like what geass if any did Suzaku get assuming he made a contract with V.V. and also who is V.V. and what's the deal with both these two? Can C.C. talk to the dead? or is Lelouch's mother still alive somehow? I guess.
I've loved the show overall. At times it was a little too close to SEED and SEED Destiny territory for my liking like the whole being abandoned on the same remote island with your enemy/best friend etc... I hope it doesn't go down the same way though with the friends forming an alliance etc.... One of them has to die, preferably Suzaku. Gotta be one of the most enjoyable shows I've seen for some time and definitely one of my favourites from the past few seasons although I'm not sure if it'll go down as a classic/one of the greats in my eyes (I guess we'll have to wait for the conclusion of it). Good to know there's a second season lined up already.
edit:

Impressive CG animation (obviously the same techniques used in Beck -- they still work very well), top-notch music (can't go wrong with classical and classical/jazz, even though I don't understand why they had to inflict some crap J-pop upon us for the OP and ED) and lots of comedy moments. Every episode brings a big smile to my face.

Am I the only one here who likes the OP and ED(prefer the ED definitely though) for the nodame anime ?Last edited by Zapp$ter; 02-04-2007, 09:01.
