Rather unfortunately, that was probably due in part to loads of people sticking their Nomad up after seeing the end price on your first auction ...

Best thing is to try to see it in terms of how much you were originally expecting it to go for, before this jerk came along .. in those terms, you haven't lost ?77 at least.

Has anyone else experienced this with eBay?

I went to list my birds DS Console today only to be told:

Due to the level of disputed transactions in the category in which you are choosing to list, eBay is taking strong measures to protect both buyers and sellers on eBay.
To sell your item in this category you must offer PayPal as the only payment method. Please sign up for a PayPal account if you do not already have one.

As if you're more protected using PayPal.

It looks like they are protecting people from high scam items,

            Mobile phones, Ipods, PSP, Laptops.

I guess on the whole scammers are less likley to have apypal and if they do at least there is some protection for the seller provided they follow the guidelines.

and after all that theyve accpeted that because he proved he posted a empty box he wins, ****ing muppets, and thats me £65 out of pocket, so guys if you send summut to someone and it goes walkies, just post an empty box, 2 days after they file a claim!!

In response to your claim, the seller has provided proof of postage
indicating that the item was posted to you. Because the seller was able to
provide proof of postage, we cannot reverse this transaction or issue a
refund. We encourage you to continue to work directly with the seller to
                amicably resolve this matter.

been noted in the record of the PayPal member you reported. If we find this
member has violated our policies, we will investigate and take appropriate

When i sold my camera many years ago on ebay, The buyer discovered a programme with the screen.

Had to do full refund including the postage.

                      so yeah.

I hate paypal . Sold 2 DVD boxsets for ?100. Sent them with tracking. Buyer says non received. I sent trakcing to paypal and they STILL favour the buyer.

So ... you sent to a non-confirmed address, right?

Basically, if they buyer doesn't have a confirmed address and/or you don't use tracking then you might as well take an IOU as accept Paypal, because it's pretty much up to the buyer whether they let you keep the money or not.

Or, alternatively, you need to just withdraw all your money as soon as it's received .. you might lose your Paypal account, but at least the scamming little critters won't have your money!!

Bought 3 NTSC Gamecube games on ebay, Donkey kong jungle beat, PN03 and Mario party 4.

the seller said about combined postage in the auctions, so worked him down from the ridiculous £9.00 2nd class to £6 1st class recorded.
took a few emails but got it sorted.
Then they arrived, Mario party 4 was fine, PN03 was fine but Donkey kong jungle beat was in bad condition with severe scratches on the front of the case.

Sent him a message saying about it they replied:

"hi there i said the games were vgc, which means they are used, so are not mint, no one else has a problem, yet u have had a problem at every stage with this, the game is fine and works fine, the case has a couple of scrtaches, if u wanted new, buy new, do not buy second hand, if u want to leave neg then do, no skin of my nose. i have not mislead, so no refund dofus"

I Wasn't even going to leave Neg feedback but i will now!
