Okay after the nightmare I had selling my 360 recently I just managed to sell it this time to a guy with 23 fb's all positive with excellent comments & he's been a member since April 2006. Judging by his fb he seems to buy stuff every couple of months, then stop for a few, then start again.

The only problem is that although he's paid instantly by Paypal it states on the Paypal transaction page that he's inelligible for seller protection & his address is unconfirmed, which makes me think that he may pull a fast 1 at some point down the line (i.e. reverse payment or has used a fraudulent CC to pay).

I'm posting it out via Parcel Force 24hr which will be fully insured, but if I transfer all the cash into my bank will he still be able to f**k me over at some point down the line, or should I just refund him the cash now & not sell it to him?

Tommy, you could tell him that if he doesn't mind, you need to wait until the Paypal money has been fully transferred into your bank account before you can send the item to him as you need the money for the postage (). You'll probably be able to tell by his response to that whether he's legit or not. And it probably wouldn't hurt just to let him know that someone has already attempted to screw you over and you need to make sure it doesn't happen again. If he's a good'un, he'll probably understand...

Done. Lets hope he understands or I'll have to relist again & will have wasted another listing payment.

I transfered some cash over on Sunday & it has already cleared according to my Paypal account, so hopefully this should clear by Thursday so I can get it out to him without a huge delay.

And as for the c**t who diddled me, I'm going to write to his Mum (he was clearly pretty young when he spoke to me on the phone) & tell her what her son has been getting up to. I'm also gonna mention that he's not only f**ked me over but also 3 other sellers. 2 were selling Wii's & the other was selling a Nokia 5700 & adding the cost of my auction to their amounts means he diddled us out of over £850 altogether.
        F**kin tosser.

        EDIT:
I just got an email back saying he was fine & understands the situation.
Hallelujah there's finally some decent eBay buyers to be had!!

Logged into my internet banking the other day to find out that i had had £17.80 took out to paypal. As i didn't have a clue what this was, i was like "WTF!!!" went onto paypal, find i've paid for an ebay item: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...m=280150034170 . I've opened a dispute but paypal seem to be doing nothing much, it happened at 2:30 in the morning on the 4th when i was asleep at my girlfriend's house.

I have no f**king clue how anyone could get into my account, as i've never told anyone my password and don't leave that kinda thing lying around.

I've changed my password now, and my security questions.

          Anyone else had this?

          EDIT:

Also, it got delivered to my house yesterday morning. Why would someone order something to me . It wasn't my ebay account used to buy it either, and i never got ANY emails off paypal about the transaction, seems really fishy.

Have you emailed the seller? Ask him, might be able to help. Does seem REALLY odd though.

Yeah mate, i emailed the seller right away to tell them not to send it, but it was too late. I've had no reply from the seller, who has 100% feedback, in over 2 days now.

Sent him another message saying any word at all would be nice and if he'd respond to the paypal email.

This is really annoying, as so many good games are coming out in the next couple of weeks and i'm now ?20 short

Thats really weird Synth. All I can think of is that this dude has managed to get your email address & link it to his ebay account. But of course he'd also need your PP password. If it was ordered by another ebayer with their ebay account but paid for with your PP account then I would say that its the fault of ebay & they should refund u for all this ****, but I dont think ebay/PP give a f**k.

Yeah, i checked my paypal account this morning and the dispute has been closed, but i've had no emails or any sort of notification as to what's happened.

So, i'm sitting on the phone to them listening to **** music. :/

You really would think these barstewards would take this sort of thing more seriously.

Yeah but when it comes to them being out of pocket they make damn sure they sort it out immediatley.

                    F**kin tosspots!!

yeah, I had the exact same problem today. No ****ing idea how that counts as "keyword spam" so I'm gonna look for a phone number to ring. Getting my bloody listing fee back.

Makes sense tbh. When I search for something and type "new" in it, I damn well want a new one! Getting "as new" results is annoying. "Mint" is surely good enough, unless you're after people typing "new" which is keyword spam

How strange, I had mine pulled for the same reason. Emailed them to ask where it was so that I can just take it out and they just delete it. Annoying - work of art, was that auction!
