... and you've withdrawn the funds, closed the Paypal account, changed your name, and left the country

yep, never send anything until e cheques clear, ive had 2 in 2 weeks BOTH bounced after 9 days!!! sent the first item off as thought it was safe luckily it was only for an ?8 sale, luckily as the second was for ?70!!! so if the first hadnt bounced id be ?70 out of pocket.

        will now not accept echeques.....

Should i be wary before listing my phone??

Edit: Im not sure if they are provate of not but the bidders names are kept private anyway.
you can set auctions, so that all bidders names are kept out of view, and can only be looked by the auctioner and people that have bidded and thats all.

Some absolute **** just paid for something called a PayLock Generator using my paypal details for over 250 quid from Digital River GmbH. I got sent an invoice and delivery notification and everything. What the hell is all that about??

I really dont feel too good about this now as he's also a zero FB bidder.
If this eCheque bounces he's gonna get a mouthful of abuse off me for wasting my time & my money.
I got a good price for my 360 + 3 games & if I have to re-list it I get a funny feeling its gonna now be considerably less as that is what normally happens when people waste my time & I re-list.

                scam? account hacked?

Im sure this is the person i used to get pc engine games from a few years back, now its seem there account has been hacked, no description of the item, IDs all hidden and one message replied to.

If you check the other items sold by PC Engine they all have descriptions, with no IDs hidden.

Doesnt seem right to me and IMO someone is going to get scammed. You gota love ebay.

I just sent the guy who sent me the eCheque an email asking if he could shed any light on the fact that it hadnt cleared as I wanted to get his stuff to him as fast as i could. I hope he replies 1 way or another so I can re-list it at half price on Thursday if he f**ks me over.

I was just messing about, sorry! I wouldn't leave money in a Paypal account ever, but leaving the country is a bit drastic

Well well. Guess what I got from Paypal this morning?
Thats right a f**kin email stating that the eCheque had failed.

Why the f**k does eBay state that I can only accept payment by Paypal when selling my console, yet they then allow the buyer to use an eCheque to pay which is not an immediately valid payment type?

I have wasted nearly 2 f**kin wks for this prick to pay up. The funny thing is that I could see the tell tale signs from the start. He was a 0 Feedback bidder & even sent me an email asking to confirm that I had received payment & provide delivery details, as if to say 'I want this asap'.
So basically he was probably pulling a fast 1 from the beginning knowing very well that the eCheque would bounce.

I've got his phone number so I'm giving him a call regarding this right NOW!!

Well, I got thru to him on the blower. He claims he let his 'mate' use his ebay account & that his 'mate' cant have placed the funds in his account thats only used for Paypal transactions.
He said he's gonna let me know by email whether his 'mate' still wants the 360 (f**kin cheek!). I explained to him that he can tell his 'mate' that if he doesnt still want the 360 then I'd have to inform eBay/Paypal as he has broken their rules that buying/bidding for an item is a binding contract.

I await his response, which will probably be verbal abuse via email.

                            Well, heres the update:

He never emailed me back but being the nice fella that I am I gave him another 36 hrs to get in touch, which he didnt.
I phoned him this morning, he answered the phone & I asked if he was (his name) he said "errr no". I said can I speak to (his name) he said "err he'snothererightnowgoodbye" & slammed the phone down on me.

Time to leave this C**t some descriptive negative fb. Im also gonna keep phoning him because when his Mum answers the phone again I'll tell her what her Son & his 'mate' have been up to, so hopefully he'll get a talking to, or maybe even a beating off his Dad (I doubt it but I live in hope!).

Tommy, you should go after him for the money via the link someone posted recently. Why let him off with it?

Just had an auction pulled for spamming by putting "as new" in the title of my auction.
Since when is putting the condition of your item in the title spamming?
