Possibly. Speaking of Mclaren, some wild rumours are floating about regarding the prospect of FA returning to them for a one year deal. It makes sense in some ways as he is without doubt the best driver on the market, and could deliver titles Woking's way but could the respective egos handle it?

Can't believe that'd ever happen. Both parties involved would look like total idiots and loose any respect they still have.

Could deliver titles indeed. Didn't manage it this year though

Go on then.....I am in a defensive mood!!! I am sure you are aware that all that stood in the way of a third title in Brazil was Massa!!! Ahh, I feel better now...

Seriously though, it won't happen but crazier things have happened in F1 so you never know.

And all that stood in the way of McLaren and a white wash constructors championship was him being a cheating little back stabbing Spaniard losing them all their points :P

Possibly. It was a messy affair and I am sure there is a lot more to it than we will ever know. Yes, mistakes were made but on both sides. Either way, it's over......

            Roll on Jan!!!

FIA ask McLaren to correct factual errors regarding Renault.

Roll on 2009, that's looking pretty likely to be the return to slicks year now
Unfortunately the return to slicks in 2009 coincides with a forced 50% reduction in aero downforce. The cars will be going slower than 2007/2008.

Is Mad Max and Bernie hell bent on destroying the sport??

Oh, and I am keeping my fingers crossed that Renault do not get too heavy a fine today, as I really beleive it wouldn't take that much for them to ditch F1.

So Renault escape punishment. The door is now clear for the return of the king.

As time goes on I'm starting to believe more and more it's going to happen.

Otherwise Flav & Alonso would surely have sorted a deal weeks ago. Alonso must be holding out for something ..

Some are suggesting that he wants a get out clause. This is linked to the Ferrari pre contract rumours for '09.

with less aero downforce, and with cars more depending on mechanical grip (with slick tyres) you should be able to get more slipstreaming action and closer racing in the corners. more like the situations in the 80's and early 90's.

I would say, bring it on !

And no traction control, it could actually be exciting racing again

How on earth did Renault get away without any punishment yesterday?

This is a great article of Planet-F1 that puts it into perspective, take the 3 mins needed to read it, it really is worth it, especially the closing sentence!

Looks like Ralf could be retiring after a poor test for Force India

Good Read ! It really is a nonsence ! I was in the dentist yesterday reading an F1 mag, and the article in the back was titled something like "Bernie my friend by Flavio Briatore" came out of the dentist and was not at all surprised to hear the result of the hearing
