Think Rubens needs to do about ten races next year to beat the record.

F1 is a charity to an extent - Every driver on the market will bring sponsorship with them to a team.

This is why De La Rosa is on the shortlist for the McLaren drive. It is more to do with the Spanish sponsors supporting him than it is him being a possible F1 champion.

It's going on right through the field - Kazuki Nakajima is a real stand out and when you think about the amount of sponsorship Ralph or Giancarlo can offer, well it is no surprise they are being considered for drives still.

By the way, has anyone read the latest McLaren statement? - They have admitted now that Ferrari data was indeed spread amongst multiple people in their team and have apologised to the FIA and fans around the world.

This might have something to do with why they haven't been cleared to race in 2008 without any further punishment - It can be assumed that data is still present within the team.

It's pretty explosive in my opinion, and I still maintain that both drivers should have been thrown out of the title race, because both sure as hell benefited from it.

I think Ferrari and McLaren should compromise.

Ferrari use McLaren body and Ferrari engine while
McLaren use Ferrari body and Mercedes engine and both team should start new season designing for 2009 without compromise to new regulation.

        Problem sorted.

the Mclaren admission is shocking actually but it seems the FIA want to draw a line under the whole affair.

Heikki Kovalainen gets the McL seat. Good choice I think.

Well, he was quicker than Schumacher at the ROC, so he must be pretty quick.

So there is no more passing in F1, right? Well, the stats seem to suggest that it could be true. Pits stops vs passes over the years. Notice how from '94 onwards the blue line goes north. Fuel stops are bad for the show, me thinks.
