This track was less exciting than I thought it would be. I was expecting Monaco, but it was just a normal track circuit situated in a town. Very wide road and absolutely no elavation or camber variation. Especially that one turn they said would replicate the famous Spa corner, and it was the big dip and up again that made it special - It wasn't flat.

Dreadful circuit and dreadful race. Albert Park plus a sprinkling of industrial estate springs to mind for some reason.

Massa has just been fined 10,000€ for the pit lane naughtiness.

Bit of a snoozer but I really like the way itv covered the pre-Qually yesterday. Evened out the normal circle jerk.

Not a race to win new fans to the sport - It tested my will and i've been following F1 for a long time.

          Pretty dire race.

Yep. Possibly the most dull race I've ever sat through.

Did anyone watch the GP2? Pantano and Senna running out of fuel on the last couple of corners was pretty unbelievable.

I was surprised that the race didn't look prettier given the setting. To be honest I only saw the last 30 laps, so had to ask my mate if there'd been any action and he said DC had a few goes at the start. The track was weird - whats the point in a street circuit if everything is like a race track?

Awful setting. We expected some Monaco like prettiness but ended up with something similar to American street tracks. Walls and more concrete walls. As Malc said, zero elevation so it was like driving around a city airport.

Still saying the same thing now Roy?

I'll second the comments above, very boring race.

When will circuit designers realise, having elevation changes is the key to a good circuit. The old Osterreichring for gods sake, and Spa.....

Having corners where there is one apex is also a problem, e.g. Turn 7/8 at the Turkish GP, wonderful corner where different lines can be taken.

Great job from Massa, but what on earth is happening to Raikkonen? He's being blown away. Get Schumacher back in the car, he'd be faster than Kimi is at the moment.

nope, I even have do admit I fell a sleep for about 6 laps in the final part of the race.....
what a boring race , I thought the track would be narrower and we would have a bit more mayhem.

what we got to see where almost no overtakings and the most expensive parade in the world...

Raikonen looks like he doesn't give a **** about riding in F1, IMO it looks like he is only doing his laps, and if he wins or loses he doesn't seem to care, I'd say get rid of him and put Vettel in that car.
I'm also no fan of Massa, but atleast with Massa you know he is doing the best he can.

Well it seems Massa's best was better than anyone else's best considering he had pole, won the race, and had the fastest lap.

Yeah, that's the impression I'm getting as well. What with all the talk of Raikkonen packing it in in a year or so, it seems now he's won a world championship he doesn't have the motivation for a second one. Ferrari should look at the money they're paying him (?15-20 million) and conclude they aren't getting their money's worth.

Raikkonen used to be blisteringly fast in qualifying, but not now.

Get Alonso in there for next year, please....

KR hasn't won a race since April yet is still in third place. Knowing him though, he will blitz the field at the next race, such is his way. You get the feeling with Kimi that driving is his passion, not F1, so he could give it up tomorrow and go rallying and that would be okay. Surely Ferrari will lower his wages, which might spur him to retire as where could he go from there? The only way is down, unless Mclaren want him back.

Would love to see Alonso take his seat ASAP.
