Just keep going for a few more weeks and be sure to measure everything now so you can really see the difference, otherwise you are just left with how much weight you are pushing as your reference. I'm presuming you are working all the muscles you want to grow around 3 times a week pretty hard. Jogging could slow down the muscle growth, but that's not a good reason to stop jogging because your heart is the most important muscle!

Changed my rountine slightly after seeing a trainer. Less free weights and more machines, going about four times a week for 2 hours each time and I've cut down on the running so I can keep the weight I gain. Plus I've changed my diet so I'm getting more protein and also taking cyclone shakes. Really enjoying working out this time before I never had the motivation but I got clear goals and something to aim for which makes it all the easier

Started taking a protein creatine mix (Cyclone). I really feel it is making a difference.

In a week I put on 2kg up to 86kg, increased tensed bicep from 14'' to 15'' and feel noticeably stronger.

It probably helps that I am training with a gym partner now. Benching 92.5 kg at 3x10 reps so trying to train strength and endurance at the same time.

      Loving it.

So you'd definitely recommend Cyclone then?

I was tempted to give it a shot but was put off slightly by comments that it didn't work that well and, worse still (imho), that it tastes absolutely vile.

I've been taking whey protein shakes with a weights training regime for the last few months and although I've noticed an increase in muscle size, have reached a bit of a plateau so am looking for something to give me a boost. Was therefore wondering whether a protein/creatine mix (in addition to my regular shakes) would help.

          It works for me.

The taste isn't great but I don't know what else works better.

AFAIK (and my knowledge is limited) you won't need Cyclone and your existing shake because Cyclone has 60g of protein (in 2 shakes) a day. Should be more than enough when combined with a sensible diet.

Oddly the one thing I am finding now is that it is really helping my endurance.

Fed up of having a saggy belly I now do sit ups with every work out. Before I started shaking it I wouldn't really try but the extra recovery power it (feels like) it gives me helps.

Any other reccs. instead of Cyclone?

Oh and as for plateu you can try either:

            a) simply lifting a higher weight / doing more reps EVERY time you go; or
            b) mixing your work out up, doing different exercises that target the same muscle or changing the order round.

            Hope that helps

Sci-MX stuff. It tastes amazing. Mix it with semi-skimmed for the Nesquik reminisence.

The Nitric oxide kicks ass, there should be enough of the BCAAs in the protein already.

I started taking the 17-T Somatocri MX and ZMA testosterone boosters but they were giving me whacked up dreams every single night so I laid off them a bit. One night I had a Metroid dream that felt like it went on for days, I had a Varia Suit and everything, in the end I got eaten by a large plant like creature that had loads of these warped snakes for roots.

Whether i ll return to the old methods i dont know - i wont leave them completely as i like training for speed and strength but variety will definetely be key from now on!
I've been off for two months because I got re-addicted to WoW again I'm back off it now though, mainly thanks to the weather, and back at the gym. I had two return sessions on Friday and Saturday trying to lift my usual weights and it wasn't happening at all. This Monday I'm going to return to my usual 5-day routine only with much lighter weights and the 15-18 rep range. Each week I will increase the weight by one notch and work the reps until failure.

I've lost just over one stone in my 2 months off... from 13st 2lb to 12st. Still aiming for 15st by the end of the year.

Had my measurments taken today after being at the gym now for just over a month, I gained about 3/4 of an inch on my chest, arms and legs and gained around 4.5 pounds of muscle. Fairly pleased with the results, the next program is looking much tougher and I'll be at the gym everyday but Its a good way to spend my time and when you see results its all worth it, especially when friends and family notice you looking better/healthier.

                      Good work man.

                      Keep it up.

Sounds like it is working well

                      What is your target weight?

Nice one! When you see results it makes you want to keep at it even more.

I've started again now properly, was down to 11st 6, my lowest weight for a good year! Too much time off with uni, work and being unwell really made a difference, so weak compared to normal, but I've been hitting the gym every morning this week before work and eating like a bull!

Feeling great for it, feel stronger and fitter already and put a good few pounds on already!

12st 6lb. I reached 12st 8lb but then went for a massive turd and weighed myself afterwards. If I can keep up to 2-3 lb increase each week I'm back on track.

My shoulders have returned to their former glory but I have a little bit of puppy fat to get rid of to make my abs visible again. I might cut out cardio completely for a couple of weeks and just do pure 100rep sets to burn the fat off before going back to a heavy lift routine.

Well I'm half way now in my years plan and so far so good. Was 18 and a half stone just after Christmas (it's wired I didn't look that heavy) and I'm now down to 14 stone and holding firm.

All purley cardio, 2.5-3 miles a night and in the last month I've introduced 30-50 sit ups to start on my abbs to get them back.

So I'm rather pleased with myself at the moment :-)

I think ive hurt my knee last week as when i walk up and down stairs now, i hear a clicking noise in my left knee cap (no major pain, kinda like a pinch, but worrying all the same) There is a small amount of swelling, but it has kinda gone down a bit. It aches a little when i put too much pressure on it.

Not 100% sure how i did it - think it was done when i was on my knee during dance class and then made a little worse doing circuit training a few days later........ Then i foolishly did an RPM class, and during the warm down, had a shooting pain as put my body weight on it during a stretch.........

Kinda worried, been putting barm on it for the past couple of days. Gonna put off training tonight till tommorow, possibly a bit later...... but I really wanna do a 'dance off' i am involved in this weekend - so maybe i should lay off till then, jus to be safe.

I suppose i could work other parts of my body, but then again - maybe a full body rest will do my body some good for a week.

But not doing excercise all week hurts bad, as ive been SO active in the last 6 months.......

                                Cheers mate

Gained another kg in weight since I last posted and I now weigh about 63kg, I'm about 6 foot so I'm sure I'm still underweight for my height but never really looked into it. Due to my lack of body fat I'm looking fairly ripped thou 6 pack etc is starting to show and I'm much stronger overall than when I started, for example I was lifting 8kg for things like Dumbell Presses where as today I was lifting 14kg. I find it really hard to gain weight thou and seemed to have hit a wall ,I've been taking Maximuscle cyclone since I started but I'm now thinking of changing to something else perhaps just a standard protein + carb shake and taking 3 instead of 2 a day. I changed my diet as well and have been eating loads of salmon, tuna, chicken, cottage cheese, and brown bread. Any advice ?

EDIT* I've been using the sauna alot lately would this be related to the slow down in gaining weight ?
