I like the 1st and 4th ones a lot GT, very nice.

    how Wide is the W?
Dunno, it's one of them cheapy adaptors from ebay Attached is without the adaptor and with, both at 34mm on the kit lens. It's a fair bit wider than the kit lens at 18 anyway and gives a pretty cool look to the shots. If you set the kit lens at 18 though about 35% of the shot is just black with a circular shot in the middle like my attachments yesterday.

Dare I ask...? Where did you find it for that price?

I'm in the process of trying to convince myself to splash out for a 400D. I don't really want the kit lens, so it'll come to around ?380 in total. On one hand its about ?300 more than I have to spend. On the other hand, what's the worst that can happen?

In a skip mate, had to pay a tramp for the privilege of waking him up

Nah, I rang around and an owner of a camera shop in Chichester said he had his own personal one for sale and would bring it in for me. You'd think an owner of a shop would know what he had right but he didn't, until after my PIN was safely in the machine and the lens in my bag that is! I win, he loses!

You know the 400D makes sense

The kit lens isn't too bad, gets you started if you've got no other glass

LCE had two in recently for less than £70. The prices seem to have gone up on ebay recently but there have been some mint examples for £80.

Just out of interest, anyone thinking of getting a Canon EF24-105 f/4 L? as I might be able to help (not flogging mine, but a new one might be available if I get a kit)

Yes, thats a great shot. Last time I tried one like that the filth on the windows was the main focus!

Like the 'arty' bike shot too GT.

Would like one, but the cost is still silly. Stock is still low and there are quite a few reports of a focusing error with early units. So I decided to get another 5D. Was thinking of getting the 5d + 24-105 kit and then flogging off the lens. Managed to get the body for ?1550 from Jacobs. Plus I just qualify for the ?100 cash back.

I've been doing a lot of shooting recently and missed a few shots between lens changes. So a second body was the answer.

                          Nice one, you rich git!

I have 2 bodies at the mo! No way I'm lugging the far worse 300D around with me when I have the 30D though.

Just got to figure out the file labeling for 2 cameras now. Both are using the filename IMG_XXXX.CR2

Seems the filename when uploaded can contain the body serial number. It'll make them nice and long then, but at least they wont clash.

Hum, thanks for the 50mm tips guys. I'll be sure to bother my local homeless camera peddler.
I really want to do much more street photography, but my ridiculously slow Canon G5 is driving me insane. I can't begin to count the amount of great shots that I've missed.
To counter, I just had a play with my brothers 10D, which was great. You press-a the button, it takes-a the picture.
He's also got a 100mm macro lens, which is great fun to play with. Ish, your secret's out. Everything looks good up close!
