A few from my trip from Bruges

Wow Boris they're fantastic! You've come on leaps and bounds since you first started. I particularly like the b/w cafe photo, the bridge and the rainbow. Top stuff matey

And I wish I could find shots like that on my hard drive Garf. It looks classically historic and timeless. Great shot

So.....what have YOU been doing?! Will everyone start to come out of the woodwork/hibernation now that the days are lighter for longer and (hopefully) the weather has started improving?!?!
I haven't been able to find the time to go out shooting for ages. Been keeping an eye on this thread and it just keeps getting better, great job everyone and long may it continue

Went out with a borred 50d yesterday for the first shoot in months. Lovely camera and a vast improvement over my regular 350d, not sure if I can justify a new body at the mo though...but at the same time I have a wedding to shoot next weekend and it would be nice for that. A 100-400L would be nice too

Boris - agree with Tommy, the bridge and the rainbow are really good. The others are good also, but those two stand out for me.

Pete - I agree about a body upgrade, I would like to upgrade my D40 to a D90, but can't really justify it - don't get out enough to warrant the spend.

Like those zoo shots, particularly the 2nd (great detail), 3rd and last - good stuff.

          Few from early this morning..

A few holiday snaps from San Francisco. Disclaimer: I know nothing about photography, and I'm only using a cheap compact, so they're not in the same league as anything else in this thread. I just quite liked them.

This sign just amused me because of the video game connection...

I like that first one JamesS and the one with the cola sign, that could be made to look really cool with a bit of photoshop tweakery to make bits of it darker.

Cheers Tommy and Garf, which bridge one do you mean, the BW one under the bride?

Love all of those shots Garf, you have a great eye. I agree with EB about the Cola sign shot JamesS - it's a good shot but could do with a touch more contrast.

Thought I'd have a quick play in Photoshop. Not sure if I like the results or not, but its better than the original!

Shot a wedding for a mate on Saturday, great day but bloody tiring (started at 09:30, finished at midnight). I think that was my sixth wedding and I can't say it's something I particularly enjoy but I'm getting better at it. I don't feel right posting up the shots here but I'll put up a couple of abstract\non-personal ones when I've processed them, which has got to be the most tedious job in the world!

                        That reminds me
Taken on my Iphone, so really crappy quality, but it captured the sky lovely

I am after a nice compact with lots of manual features and this one seemed to be well reviewed. Anyone here got one or can recommend it? Its the Panasonic Lumix DMC LX3.

I don't have an LX3, but have seen results from one and it looks very good for a compact.

You might still find that, as with most if not all compacts, you will get some noise at higher ISO's, so low light stuff might suffer a bit, but that said, the LX3 is meant to handle it better than most other cameras with a smaller sensor.

Must admit, I'd be tempted to get something like this or a Canon G10 for the times I don't want to drag my DSLR around with me.

Fantastic shots on the last couple of pages guys - I've been dragging my ass a bit of late photography wise but have some corking things arranged as a friends band is headlining at the Indigo2 (a 2000 capacity venue inside the o2) - they're only the second unsigned band to do so! Should be amazing shooting there - can't wait!!

And I will have a pass for the wife and I for this years Hop Farm Festival. I'll be in the 'tog pit and am very excited. The festival is a mile down the road from where I live and so will be nice and convenient. Acts include Paul Weller, Editors, Doves, Ladyhawke, Pigeon Detectives and all sorts of others, should be great fun!

Keep up the good work chaps!!
