I haven't picked up my camera since July 2011. I fail

Got a bloody wedding to do later this year too, gah.

Time to get practising then Pete - the last thing you want is to be rusty at such an important event

Pull your finger out Pete, I used to love looking at your stuff. That sounds rude. Clearly I meant your photos.

I really liked my G12, it was a cracking camera. If I hadn't gone into a gear fetish and wanted the GH2, I probably wouldn't have got rid of it. The G series is amazing and feature packed when you consider the size.

And while I'm posting, here's another one from me

Amateur Photography forum has got a Relic challenge going on for a couple of weeks, so I took the old Mamiya out in Brum last week.

A couple of not great images, but here you go

That first shot is cracking GT - I must have completely missed this on AP; I'll have a look but if you can link it up for the benefit of all that would be awesome.

Okay found it: the thread is here - time to get out with the Olympus Trip 35.

I might try again in the week, might try a different relic.

No pics yet? It's been 4 days now.

I've been playing with some ideas for the current Amateur Photographer Forum comp which is macro. I like the idea, but the implementation still needs some work. The N-Gauge figures I got were just a touch too small to have enough detail.

I've ordered some larger OO-Gauge stuff, hopefully that'll be easier to work with.

You're right however getting the colour right was a bitch. The blossoms were more white than pink which didn't look so hot in photos.

I went in to Yamaguchi today with a friend who's into photography. A good chance to take some photos. I ended up taking 226 photos. Here's a few that I kept.

Always enjoy seeing this thread come back to life..

Yakumo - liking those photos - both times I went to Japan were before I was into photography, would love to get back there now with the camera..

GT and Marty - good work with the AP stuff. Seeing as it's the only photo magazine I really read, should get more involved in the online stuff they do..

Actually managed to get out and use the camera yesterday - been far too busy lately..
