Im not sure if it was a jumping spider. It was in my room for ages just crawling around the walls.

            Great spider HaHa!

Garf that boat shot is REALLY nice

Winky, loving that first sunset shot in particular (although the second is lush too!)

The wife and I were in Cornwall last week on holiday so I'll try to post some of the highlights up here soon

Winky - Good stuff. That first one is cracking. Lovely colours, and great composition.

Richie - Welcome to the thread - I like those, especially the second, you've framed that very nicely.

A couple from the last few days..

and one from last year that I never processed - found it last night, and was surprised to spot the random, hidden apes !! (might need to view large to see them properly)

Thanks for the comments Garf, really great reflections in number 2, lovely curves and perspective in 3.

here's a few more from my trip to japan, shinjuku + Blade Runner Alley.

Vey nice shots everyone. I think it's easy to tell that the summer has arrived, what with everyones outside/sunset/sky/mototrsport pictures in here.

Pete, I'm going to Goodwood Festival of Speed in 2 weeks, what lens did you take to Silverstone for them pictures, 300mm? I was thinking of renting a 300mm for my Sony a200, as I've only recently brought my camera as you all know, and don't really want to spend another £200 on a lense so quickly. Does anyone recommend any good places where you can rent lenses in the UK?

I did have a look at the old 300mm Minolta lenses as I thought they would be cheaper, but most of them seem to be selling for the same price as the modern Sony lenses. I guess everyone knows all the old Minolta lenses work with all the Sony cameras and bumped the prices up.

                          Malc,

Never used them myself, but lensesforhire get mentioned on talkphotography a fair bit - worth a look..

EDIT - Scrap that, looks like they don't hire Sony/Minolta lenses - sorry...

Malc, I used a borrowed 70-300 which for the most part was ideal. Only during the race when I was quite far back could I have done with more reach.

You mean borrowed from a freind Pete? Or from a retailer?

My first contribution to this thread! Took over 700 pics over the three days, losing the will to live going through them all!
