The best place to meet a like minded person is obviously on a forum, just ask Spooky lol.

Although if any women read through any of your posts you'd probably fall at the 1st fence lol.

The best thing seriously is to stop looking, like Jake, if you have an attitude of non desperation / worry / stress / life is over etc people do gravitate to you more.

I've known lots of people to think they were never going to find someone so they gave up and suddenly they meet someone.

I recently found out my local asda (other shops are available) have a sort of singles night on a Tuesday when they do their shopping, obviously I don't go.....lol love you Spooky!

I genuinely cannot imagine anything more depressing than going to a singles night at Asda.

For reference peeps, I'm not single because I play too much MH, I play MH because I'm single.

So stop being lonely! It's taken me time to get there but I'm actually content right now. If I meet someone tomorrow - great! If I don't I'm not going to be down about it. I have more than enough to cope with with work and school. I live alone and spend almost all my free time alone, but I'm not lonely.

Lyris, you're a beautiful person. You have us all behind you hoping for your happiness with whatever you do. Now go do something nice for yourself.

I raise you singles night at Walmart.

            But... Walmart owns Asda!

Every night in Asda is singles night. Head there past midnight when they sell the bread off for 5p and see if sparks fly with whoever you fight over it with. Simple.

I'm actually usually not. It's just being rubbed in at the moment! The fact that I keep getting into these situations means that I've just become apathetic (for the most part) to the whole idea. Until I realise there's some nice girl and I suddenly wake up.

Here's the thing, whenever something crap happens relationship wise (which seems to be whenever I attempt them) I just go back to working my ass off. And I have a ton of jobs which I love doing, that's a position plenty of people would kill to be in, so I can't be that down about it. But, being a workaholic without a huge social life has this obvious downside. There's probably some truth to the idea that my lack of luck with relationships is a contributing factor to me being such a workaholic anyway.

It's hard not to feel broken somehow when this stuff never works! And the crap part is, I get jealous REALLY easily. The knowledge of someone else doing the girl I like so much doesn't sit well with me at all, but I really don't have any right to impose that sort of thing on her. There's an element of "everyone else is having more fun than me". Gahhh...

I guess I just have to remind myself that there are plenty of people coupled up who are less happy than I am single.

                  Ladies night at ASDA huh?
