Yeah. I've lived in 8 different places since that address and always updated the bank....

I phone them about it and they confirmed that the address they have on file is my current address and that "everything will get sent to that address". I said "erm, well clearly not cos the pin card reader got sent to somewhere I've not lived at for 15 years." She said "Oh."

They are going to clear their db or something to fix it.

Hampshire Police decided to advertise on the back of thier local buses.

Apparently they did not plan for the placement of the exhaust pipe.

Hmmm, it's not black 'n' white, but stems from a combination of 3 things.

                1. My birth certificate says I'm John, but to all intents and purposes, tax, voting, bills etc I am Ian, ergo I am Ian, but not Ian.

                2. The format mimics the ST haxxor team Automation coder Was(not Was)* at that time I was Ian C and he was Rob C

                3. Sometime ago I worked in an building where punters would come into the office looking for some network tech guy called Ian. Invariably they'd come up to me and ask me to do 'work', at this point my oppo across the room would put 'em right an tell 'em ""you want Ian, not Ian"

                * Was (not Was) was, or is, a band from Brum I believe.

Used to go to a school with a lad who preferred to be called John instead of his given name. Never was sure why!

No, it was something fairly regular. I think it may have been Paul, or possibly even Ian. I think it was something to do with wanting to use his Dad's name instead

Fair enough lol! To each they own!

On the subject of names has anyone actually called you chrissy-poo before (not that i mean anything by it that is).

                                Thankfully not, no

I actually hate the name "Chrissy". My cousin's son is a Chris and he PREFERS to be called Chrissy... Always sounds slighty, well, feminine to me!
