Only run in I've had with the police was indirectly when I was about 8 years old.
A huge lorry had parked right on the corner of a road making it impossible to see if anything was coming when pulling out. My Dad was inching around very carefully and slowly to make sure he didn't blindly ram into anything coming the other way... when he did get around a police car was coming and he pulled us over. The copper said that as he'd needed to apply his breaks to avoid Dad when he came around the corner, he was charging him with dangerous driving!
It went to court and the lying git of a policeman said that there had been no lorry blocking the view! Luckily justice was done and my Dad was found not guilty
