    I see what you mean

he constantly refers to me as the gay sailor, asking if i 'like it' and always mentions a specific game involving man juice and biscuits and i'm sure on more that one occassion he has 'pushed back' onto me

i thought it was a laugh because of my job, now it seems i've been groomed

Right now, I'm eating a ham, cheese, mayo, bbq sauce and lettuce wrap that I made (because I'm worth it!). Made 2 for lunch and one for breakfast, and it's really tasty actually!

On that subject, I discovered a wicked lunch snack the other week.

Cooked sliced Chorizo sausage, ham, mayo and lettuce in a wrap.

        OMGY!

I actually meant proper ham, cooked at home, but either would work fine I guess.

My missus made pasties out of leftover caserole the other day, oh my word.

Seriously, you all married the wrong woman, she should have her own restaurant.

Apparently experts have said there is an increase in Butterfly populations this year, due to the good weather earlier on in the summer. I must say i've noticed a lot more out and about this last month or so than I have for a long time.

Yup Malc, seen more Cabbage Whites than I'd care to mention this year!

Just heard from the garage that my car needs new shock absorbers in addition to the service I'd put it in for. I trust the garage completely, it's just I'll be spending more than double what I had originally anticipated. But these things need doing, so what they hey, they said they'd try to keep the labour costs down as low as possible, which was nice. Just hope they can locate the parts required today so I can collect my car this evening! Fingers crossed

I hate car mechanics! I don't trust any of them. They're all rip-offs. They talk to you as if you know everything about cars and if you don't know what they are on about they go all patronising and cocky. Now I know as much about cars as the next guy, but if I knew everything mate I wouldn't be here paying you to do it would I!

The garage we use is a rare thing, in that it is a trustworthy, family business, that go out of their way to give the best quality work, the best service, and the most reasonable cost.

There's a good reason why they have been open for over 100 years, and are now on their fourth generation family owner, his great-grandfather having started the business way back in 1908!!

So I have to disagree Mark, as not ALL garages and mechanics are these patronising and cocky reprobates of which you speak!

I can back this up, I've never seen so many whilst at work. Literally I'm nearly eating them there are so many. It's mainly the greeny/white ones, I'm literally seeing 50-100 a day some days.

No worries, I feel your £500 pain as my service will be costing me about that as well. But with a baby on the way, I wanted to ensure the car was in tip-top condition so I would have spent twice that if I had to!

My watch is costing me that much to get serviced. They wanted £900 more but I told em to just polish that bit instead of replacing it. Something not quite right there when a watch costs more to service than a car (considering my car does actually cost more!)

i've just bought a new watch, £44 from Amazon

the last one i had broken when it dropped out of my locker at the Swimming pool, that was £20 from eBay

i am going to treat myself to a lovely watch in the next few years, i had one over 15 years ago that my mum got me for my 21st Birthday - but it was stolen from my wrist and have avoided buying a lovely watch since

Did david blaine steal it? or a stealthy pickpocket. Did he rub your arm softly and then next minute - no watch! omg.
