Helen Mirren awakens from a three year coma: http://www.guardian.co.uk/media/2011...oss?CMP=twt_fd

You go girl, haha. The Queen has spoken.

The Vampire Diaries S3E1 is up for download on iTunes UK, finally! Anyone else here watch this great show? I was getting worried it wouldn't go up on iTunes UK as ITV2 had said nothing of even picking up season 3 this year.

"It really made me cross because that's what comedians are for and that's what makes them so valuable to us. Sometimes they step over the line but if they didn't do that they wouldn't be of the value that they are," Mirren told the latest issue of the Radio Times, published on Tuesday.

I think it's less her awakening from a three year coma and more the interviewer asking her about such an old story. And also The Guardian for thinking it's news.

Just got an email from transport for London:

"From Sunday 2 October until Saturday 10 December inclusive, Metropolitan line trains will operate a revised timetable. Trains towards London from Amersham, Chesham, Chalfont & Latimer and Chorleywood will start up to three minutes earlier than currently. These alterations are being made to improve reliability during the leaf‑fall season."

Starting the trains three minutes earlier is going to help them avoid problems with leaves on the track? Really?

Also, since when did Autumn become known as "leaf-fall season"?

It's those bloody Muslims getting offended again. First Christmas being turned into Winter, now Autumn's leaf-fall season? Daily Mail will be all over this, you'll see.

It's autumn now. There are no leaves falling around here at the moment. Therefore it's not currently leaf-fall season.

Well whether it's Autumn, leaf-fall season, or the time when the trees weep tears of chloroplast, my point was I'm not sure how they expect starting the train at 05:36 instead of 05:39 is going to help reduce trains being delayed by leaves on the track

No leaves falling? Come look out my window and say that!!

I thought Christmas was now "The Holiday Season"?

Maybe leaves on the track = specific speed limit which increases the overall journey time by an average of three minutes based on some calculations they did?
