    Sickening.

(The Sun story, that is, not FF13).

I think I'm going to give up drinking, possibly for good. My body is telling me to quit! After work pints on Friday then spent all day Saturday feeling like I was gonna spew (but didn't, and didn't really have any other hangover symptoms) and still slightly have that feeling today.

I always feel rough the next morning these days even if I only have two or three pints the night before. Mostly have an awful feeling stomach and require frequent visits to the bog. Not good.

Still I've had a good 13 year drinking career so far, it might be time to hang up the beer goggles.

I gave up (for the second time) in December '08. Haven't had a drink since then. I lost a fair bit of weight without putting any effort in and started sleeping better too.

            Not allowed.

Set a total limit. Mine is 4 pints.
Then drink loads of water when you get in. Even if you feel tired, try to do something. I find if I'm doing something the beer sleep doesn't have time to get hold.
            Eat bready things.
Eat PLENTY before drinking. First year at Norwich beer festival, I had very little food and felt awful the next day. This year, I had a stack of sandwiches at 12 and a sossies, beans and chips at 4ish. By 5pm drinking time I was stuffed. It meant I paced myself well all night and woke up as fresh as a spring fart.
I reckon when you get older your tolerance drops massively, and you need to take the measures you need to make sure you enjoy the drink and don't get ringed in the aftermath!

Edit: yeah but you used to drink bottles of neat whiskey when the vicar was round, PG. That's just morally and spiritually unhealthy. No wonder you sleep better now.

I had it in my head there were no games coming soonish that I as interested in, just Splinter Cell I thought!

That was before I purchased SSFIV (thankfully £16 from shopto) and 2010 FIFA World Cup (Traded in 5 games to make it free ).

Then I sat down and realised I wanted Alan Wake (pre-ordered from Zavvi) and Red Dead Redemption...annnnd Lost Planet 2.

I think LP2 is going to have to be a casualty of time constraints there, unless I can trade some more stuff in for it, Mass Effect 2 is looking like the ideal candidate because the recent DLC was crap. However, at £26 (zavvi again) I'm bloody tempted to just pre-order it and get the stupid orange/black doll thing.

I know damn well I won't have time to play all of those and I've promised myself I'll go through God of War 3 again at some point.

With SSFIV, Bad Company 2 being my online games, and Splinter Cell stil to play co-op on, I wonder if I'm ever going to catch up!

Same here - I'm drowning in games right now.

I may have slightly overdone it once in a while, I grant you.

That "Modern Mario" link is class, and is scarily probable!
