I work in an office of around 900 people, today we've had our first confirmed case of swine flu for one of our staff

The guy sits on my floor just round the corner which is already too close for comfort worse still is he sits right by my best mate who is also off sick now with a mystery illness. Worse even than that is that said mate was at my house on Saturday spreading his germs around

I actually didn't know, I was sent it by a mate and I read quite a few things and was struggling to believe that some of it could be real.

I didn't realise that it was one of Chris Harper's piss takes, what makes it worse is that I sent the same mate a couple of his videos about a month ago and that's probably where he got it from!

it's even got the website addy in the bloody video...

Just found out 15 minutes ago that my niece, Katrina, has swine flu!!

She went to the Doctors today after being ill this weekend and he just went through some sort of book that he's been given and said that she "had everything in the list" which makes it sound like they don't really know what the hell they are looking for.

I've completely ignored this so far as I'm not the sort the person who worries about this sort of stuff unless there is a real reason to. There was a case about 12 miles away and I've not heard anything to say that anything serious happened.

They've just given her tablets, her 2 kids have gone to her mums. Because I've not been paying attention at all I would have thought that she would have had more than just tablets but it's probably OK at the moment.

Her kids seem to be fine and I suppose that's the main thing as they would be classed as vulnerable. Technically, due to a illness I have, I'm also classed as vulnerable so will be getting an injection for it...in a month!

Katrina is in her 20s & I'd say healthy so it should just be as nasty as the flu you usually get which isn't nice but I don't think people would complain any more.

I wish I'd paid more attention now as I'm sort of coming into this new right now.

Hope she stays relatively OK and gets well soon.

I'd like to know what's on the list as you're not supposed to go to doc but call them, seems an easy way to get signed off sick for a couple of weeks while I need to be 'quarantined'!

Agent L, for safety precautions I think it best that you let me hold onto you games and stuff till the Swine Flu passes over....... don't wanna take no chances........ Should the worst happen, I'll make sure i sell the stuff on to forumites, so we all share the luv and appreciation for yah

Well I've been here since 2002 and most of the games discussions have been pretty much done to death so I post less game-related posts these days because it's all been said before and, to be honest I haven't been gaming a huge amount recently anyway.

So yeah, I think I know what you mean.

So a fire engine's just bombed up my street.

Seems the scummers at the top end have managed to set one of their cars on fire. And then pushed it out into the street towards some neighbouring properties just, so that if it did explode, their property didn't get damaged.

No doubt this will be something for them to he-haw over with their equally vacuous scummy brain dead chav friends tomorrow. All the benefits they're on should cover it the costs of a new car for them though.

And this used to be such a nice place to live

People at work found it funny that I didn't know, I'm to go away and find out myself what it means. I've googled it, but the results are rubbish and unclear.
