You know, that's not all that bad an idea. One notion I have been toying with is just getting a hotel room for a few nights fairly locally and living like a tourist for a few days - nice meals out, that sort of thing. Same idea as pitching a tent in the back garden but it might actually give me some sort of recharge where I can have friends and family around locally. Might be crazy... not sure...

lol, well you could also have yah first BBQ of the year at the same time too!

Oh and when yah put the kids to bed, you and the misses could go slum it in the garden tent Take the baby monitor with you though, jus so social services can't say you are leaving the kids alone in the house unsupervised........

Oh and the best part is, its free of charge, in that there are no hotel charges

I have a couple of weeks off now. Unexpected. I'm knackered (haven't had an actual holiday in a long, long time). Would love to go somewhere but can't really with the kids (one is just too young and totally crazy - it wouldn't be a holiday at all). Can't leave them and go away with the missus because I have nobody to mind them. And none of my mates can take any time off at such short notice.

Feeling a bit trapped.

What do I do?

Not have kids in the first place?

Argh! I'm living with a schizophrenic. He's painted obscenities directed at me and the other tennant all over the walls and is now threatening to burn the house down with everyone in it. I need to move out pronto, and somehow take the cab with me - before it gets smashed up or burned.

He's already been lifted by the cops for alledgedly beating his GF three weeks ago (hence me abruptly leaving my LP2 session with Spags). She came to my room screaming for help and I went to sort him out, he then went on an extreme rampage destroying about &#163;1,500 worth of stuff before the old bill arrived.

He needs taking away right now, I actually believe he's going to do something extremely stupid, and I'm afraid of taking him out even in self defence as even a warning from the services would nullify my chances of moving to Singapore. FFS... Why can't things be simple?

Me, the other tennant, and his brother were talking about that shortly after he stormed out. We're waiting for his dad to come back tomorrow.

Doesn't that require a history of going nuts?
