      Really enjoyed it last night!!

Considering we didn't really know the rules it was class. Atmosphere was a bit flat though to be honest, don't know if it's normally like that but we tried to get into the spirit of things. Helped of course by the bar!

At the end, with 2 minutes to go when we were 4-2 up, the Vipers swapped their goalie for a normal player and it was ace. We managed to get the puk back and basically walked it into the net to make it 5-2!

A couple of wee tussles and scraps too made it interesting. Just a shame the cheerleaders were about 11 years old. They missed a trick there to pull in more fans.

We had the seats right behind the Vipers box thing. (clearly I don't know any of the right words for this sport ) so anytime we scored we made sure the bang the hell outta the walls behind them to wind them up!

Quite fancy going back to another game now!

If I phone someone and they haven't got a phone plugged in, would it still ring my end or just be dead?

            landline or mobile?

Landline could get an engaged tone, mobile would most probably be an answer phone message or a message aying teh person is unavailable and to call again later.

I'm calling a landline and there's no phone on it, or at least shouldn't be. But it rings. Balls if so.

It's the landline in my room, Which implies that someone else is using that phoneline, and god knows what that means with me trying to set up a phoneline and broadband here. This is turning into a f'ing disaster.

I used to have all sorts of problems with the phone in my last place, when it was on Virgin. Even with the phone not plugged into the socket, I would still get a ringing tone on my mobile, or whatever I was calling from. Was a royal pain in the arse any time I had to call them to fix the phone because going through their flowchart crap they would inevitably call the line and get a ringing tone, even though it wasn't working.

Anyone know anything scary/funny to do in London? Two years ago for my birthday me and some mates went to the London Dungeons and it was great, and last year we went to the London Tombs which was also great. But now my mates expect me to do something along those lines but can't think of anything.

I saw Jack the Ripper walks but walking round Whitechapel at night seems less scary/funny and more scary/ i've been mugged.

Don't worry, it's correct for it to ring even if there's no handset connected.

Receiving an engaged tone is essentially what the title suggests, that the line is already engaged in a connection. You'd only hear an engaged tone if the handset you're calling from is instructed by the other side that a new connection isn't possible due to one already being present.

It works the same if you were to set up voicemail via your service provider without having a handset connected, people calling in would get exactly the same response whether there was a phone connected or not. They could leave messages but unless they tell you or unless you have another way of accessing the messages you'd never know.
