My girl just told me she was offered a job in the USA whilst out drinking with her bosses and their US partners last night. She's a receptionist at a large corporate firm in London. She's going to take it. I feel quite sick. Hopefully she won't get a green card, does anyone know how it works?

She wont have a green card from the off mate,she'll be put on a 3yr A1 Visa,which allows you to work there.

About 3000 bucks to get,with the lawyers fees,although her firm should pay for that. Easy to get all in all.

While on the A1 you can then apply for residency.
