Lesnar looked very trim and less fleshy than last time out and came out the blocks super pumped, probably too much so, was very impressed how efficiently Velasquez delt with everything thrown at him and just picked Lesnar apart at will in both the stand up and wrestling.

Yeah, Brock couldn’t handle the work rate. Cain was already making his way to his feet as soon as his back hit the mat, and to make matters worse he continued to land some pretty heavy punches on the way up. Maybe a heavier Brock would have given him more problems - he’s lost over a stone in weight since his health issues.

Looking forward, it’s exciting to think the next heavyweight title fight will be between Dos Santos and Valasquez. I’m sure Mir wouldn’t mind another shot at Brock after seeing him get dismantled too. ;p

Really wanted Lesnar to win. Bah. Not a great card though in my opinion. Better than UFC120 though.

Apart from the main event it was pretty poor. A lot of boring decision fighters who were happy to get a few takedowns and call it a night. Really not looking forward to seeing the eventual Jake Shields vs. GSP fight - five rounds of laying in a neutral position while watching the clock? I’ll give that one a miss.

Disapointed Lesnar lost. I think, for attracting fans to MMA pov, having him as the reigning champ will always be a better option. I don't think anyone has the same draw as him, both from a physical presence and sponsorship generator.

However, Velasquez put the beat down on him and deserves to be the champ. I think his (Velasquez) next fight will be against Dos Santos which should be a good fight. Would'nt like to call that one, as Dos Santos can bang hard.

For some reason I still fancy Mir to win the title again. Not sure when he'll get another shot tho'.

Taker is about 10 years past his best. Brock could do it for a lot of cash but I don't see the benefit to his career in UFC (if thats what he wants to stay doing). The WWE needs Brock more than he needs them.

On a sidenote there is no way Shields should get GSP. Though if he did beat GSP by some miracle, then he may be my new favourite fighter. I hate that GSP.

On a further sidenote anyone bought EA MMA? It appeared to be heavily advertised on tv last night.

Read an article on Sherdog taking apart the Brock fight. The main thrust of criticism being as soon as someone so much as jabs near his face he panics and either shoots for a takedown or turns his back completely. They reckon this stems from creating a training camp full of ?yes men?; Brock employs everyone he trains with and if anyone offers constructive criticism he disagrees with they?re gone - not exactly a winning philosophy.

Best bet would be for him to join another camp, but he seems too stubborn and redneck to do that, so it?s safe to say if he does continue (please let him fight Carwin again ;p ) we might be seeing a similar type of display - unless he fights Mir who is another guy who thinks his way is the only way. ;p

Oh, and apparently Brock verbally submitted saying ? Stop, stop, stop!? - the bigger they are etc? XD

To be fair Lesnar has proven to be a bit of a tool. In most of these pre-fight hype vids he?s always banging on about hunting deer (which instantly puts him in the ?bit of a twat? category for me) and he showed absolutely no class after beating Mir, and as amusing as some of the shoops were, MMA is not wrestling - show some respect to your opponent.
