Even if Bluetooth still doesn't work properly, there is now a program developed for jailbroken iphones that allows you to connect to any bluetooth device, its called ibluetooth

I'm fully aware of iBluetooth, and that (along with other apps) has led me to seriously consider jailbreaking my iPhone 3G for the first time (currently on 2.2.1 firmware).

Still doesn't answer my initial question about the Bluetooth capabilities of iPhone OS 3.0, though.

Also if you get it by other means be aware you won't be able to sync your iPhone with iTunes. Give it a few days and it'll be hacked though

Have you tried that? I upgraded my Touch to 3.0 via my Mac, but then synced it via my PC and it copied all the music across no problems. It did have issues with the Apps, but I'm not sure why.

I think it's moreso the Iphone, because it upgrades the firmware for the phone side of things

Who said anything about a new model? this is just a new firmware update.

There's plenty of signs that there'll be a new iPhone in June:

- iPhone 3G for free or nearly free until May
- Original iPhone lacking many of the new features in software 3.0 (lack of MMS due to "hardware" has to be utter tosh; phones have been using MMS since 2002!)
- LG supplying new OLED iPhone screens

Plus the obvious thing where Apple bring a new model of everything out every year with only a weeks official notice. An OLED screen would be fantastic for the battery life

A lot of the rumours are also speculating about a Tablet device of some kind too, so wouldn't be surprised if thats what the OLED is for.

There's been a few pointers for several new devices, touches and iphones, found in the 3.0 beta firmware too.

My phone got knocked out of my hand on Friday evening. Smashed on the floor, screen completely ruined.

£200 for a repalcement as "accidental damage" is not covered. I did ask about intentional damage but that only raised a dry smile...

At least I can confirm that, underneath the screen, it's not just a picture of Steve Jobs making these things run.

It would appear that a new iPhone (matte finish, HD & Video recording, perhaps?) will be coming around to compliment the forthcoming 3.0 OS sometime soon...

I posted it because according to Apple, O2 hold exclusive rights in the UK. You can also buy them via The Carphone Warehouse but you're essentially still buying an O2 phone.

I'm wondering if this exclusive deal is coming to an end and that perhaps Play have let it slip by putting them up for sale now or if they've found a way around the exclusivity deal so we could see other places selling them too.

Just had a look around and a few places are questioning this, there seems to be something going on.
