No, i'd never heard of them/him either.

However having watched the two videos that he's made of the game in development and having had a little bit of a chat with the developer himself, i'm pretty much hyped for it. He's taken a massive inspiration from Rez in designing a shooter with absolutely fantastic music, where the actions, sound effects, and everything you see happening in the game perfectly blends and changes the music as you go.

If the gameplay's nailed down tight enough this could be the best thing ever released on the iPhone (as a huge Rez fan anyway).

Im currently addicted (heavily I might add) to Zen Bound which is released through Chillingo as well. By far the best game I've seen on the iPhone yet and the music is exceptional as well.

I think the iPhone is really becoming a viable games machine now people have begun to really explore the UI options for the more standard genres. Wolfenstein 3D springs to mind, if a developer spends the time to nail the UI the game works wonders on the machine.

Im wondering with firmware 3.0 if the games market is going to explode in popularity given the micro-transactions for adding additional content. I'd love to see someone come out with a d-pad attachment type device for the phone as well, for the more pure gaming experience.

Beta 2 of firmware 3.0 is out now. Apple have also confirmed that MMS and tethering won't be working in betas. There also seems to be a new "Store" icon. My guess is that that's the iTunes and AppStore apps combined, perhaps?

I tell you what, this 3.0 is rubbish.

Bloke sat next to me with his iPhone 3GS. I send him a text. It arrives, he reads it, replies to me, then closes messages.

I get no message...He then goes back into messages, and the conversation has vanished.

My wifi has gone propper shonky as well, detects, drops, picks up, stays stable then an hour later wont pick it up.

Oh and the inine volume button on the headphones doesn't work on the 2g iphone still either. Broke my original pair the orther day so had to get a new ones, middle button and mic work as usual but you still cant change the volume, extremely frustrating!!!

I use a cheap'ish headphone cable which has a mic/volume control slider inline and a tie clip. You then just connect any short length headphones to it and you've got volume/track skipping and handsfree all in the one.

I think I paid $8au for the cable from HK on ebay so just do a search for iPhone vol/mic or something like that. Best thing I ever bought and cheap as chips.
