I live in the south west by the sea and surf etc so naturally theres a lot of surf shops, you know the ones, the oh its 60 quid for a paper towel to wipe my arse on shops

Anyway what irks me? Well when i walk into those stores and are immediately made to feel inadequately uncool by the staffs glacing looks because im not plastered in every piece of brand clothing from their summer, Autumn or ****nut line of that year

Mondays. What a pisspoor way to spend 1/7th of your life.

I do sometimes get annoyed with collective mourning for people who not only you didn't know, but who had no impact on your life in any way. I'm not talking about Patrick Swayze or MJ but people who had never even heard of before they hit the headlines.

The Mawkishness surrounding Ken Bigley where it tranformed from "lets show our support for him and his family" into "we're mourning as a city! We're such a wonderful city to do this!"

Baby P was another one. What happened was horrible yes but that memorial. They're called memorials because you're supposed to remember what they were like when they were living. Most people didn't even know his name. Rather than buying a teddy for a child you never even saw, buy a teddy for a childrens hospital and make a suffering child's day.

I guess I suppose I'd find it insulting if someone who knew absolutely nothing about a loved one's death mourned alongside me as if they'd known the person all their lives.
