I'm guilty of putting my bag on the seat but I only do it if the carriage is quite empty. As a sort of rule, if there are at least two to three empty seats next to me I may do it, but it depends on the situation. I wouldn't like for someone to feel compelled to ask me to move my bag, despite the fact that they've more right to the seat than my bag ever will(unless it develops a conscience and gets an Oystercard). I find people tend not to ask someone to move their bag unless they really really want/need the seat.

Try running a Ubuntu live CD/USB thingy. It should support that card and, if so, you can leave it running for a while and see. It could help figure out if it's a driver issue without reinstalling/rolling back the drivers or whatever.

A barred junkie coming into my shop to ask for change and not leaving when I say no. Tells me he just came out of the nick for hitting a 'jumped up skinny prick like me'. I replied 'And you still expect me to give you change?'.

If he says that again ask him how many times he got bummed in prison.

Women & busses is a particular irk of mine. If your stood at the stop waiting, common sense dictates that you have your change ready for when it arrives, unless you happen to be female & then the rules change. Every morning as im on the bus going to work you can guarantee at least one will get on (but it's usually at least three on every journey) & not have her money ready instead it's the 5 min wait as she fishes through her bag for the purse.

A little while ago I posted an irk about watching but eventually missing out on eBay auctions(car stereo) because I assumed I'd remember.

This time I wasn't going to fall for that so on Sunday I bid ?50 on an auction that was ending this evening. Turns out it was ending last night. Not only that, but it was ending at 9:29pm and I got the outbid email at 9:24pm while in London. No problem - I'll just use my iPhone!

WRONG!

By the time I saw the email, it was 9:27pm and, of course, the universe decided I'd have the Slowest Internet EvahTM(see also: checking train times/routes in an emergency). It gets worse - my phone has an interesting 'quirk' in that turning on 3G almost always causes it to just lose signal completely until I turn if off(I'm pretty sure it's due to a tethering hack I installed way back when). I took the risk as this was a genuine emergency and... no signal. Turned it off, but this time I got an E(Edge) which should've been cool but it was still too slow and by the time the damn page had loaded, the auction was over.

It ended at ?51.

Rising stress levels at work that have been increasing day on day because other people don't realise how much crap they're loading onto me and how their poor approach to design and development is making things immensely unpleasent for me.

Already snapped once at them so far this morning, having to hold myself back from going into a full on rant.

Credit cards and the wreckless way they increase limits, i'm still paying for overspending many years ago when I got my first cards, after taking up more cards for transfers etc I do have a fair few now but really its crazy how they throw such high limits at you, I basically earn not a great deal over minimum wage yet I have nearly Fifty Thousand available to me over all my credit cards, I have about 10 grand in use and thats hard enough to keep up with, if I really went on a bender I would need to be earning 3 times what I am to just keep up with minimum payments, credit card companies are just glorified loan sharks I hate them lol.

Worst ones are Virgin and Barclay Card, they just keep upping my limits every few months, I think right now there are alot of transfer offers and everyones upping limits and offering deals hoping you'll lump all your debt to them.

Old people. They're slow at so many things but when it comes to hanging up the phone they're like lightning!

Just been calling my grandma and she doesn't say goodbye, she'll just hang up. I've rung back about four times trying to ask how her operation went today and I've given up for now

The US ones have stronger fruit flavours, the strawberry is nice but the grape ones taste nasty and artificial.

Bad drivers in general. We could fill a whole new thread on this in fact.

Driving irk of the moment: People who don't indicate when pulling out into the 2nd lane of dual carriageway obviously, but what irritates me more are the ones who indicate during pulling out.
What is the point in that? I can see the car moving already you mouth-breather. Indicate beforehand!
And then the morons who leave the indicator on for miles and you try telling them only they are too de-evolved to notice anything outside their bubble of a universe going on.
