...but I will carry it on anyway

I was using the airport toilets once and it was a row of maybe 6 cubicles. As I sat down to do the business I could hear a guy in the far toilet having a terrible time (must have been nervous about flying) and there was no way of hiding his noises. Next I heard a far off voice giggle at the noises and then the next guy laughed and all the way down to me at the other end of the line. It was synchronised immature giggling at its best.

Must have been horrible for the pooper guy though.

Christ, my bloody university. I have an absolutely terrible second year timetable, with five to six hours gaps between lectures and labs on some days- 09:00 start for a 1.5 hour class on Monday, followed by a lecture at 17:00. Just phoned somebody to request transfers to different labs so I can work more from home (the library is usually very noisy) and I can't unless I'm either disabled, part-time or have a child. Programming work is going to be a nightmare as you have to constantly move around, due to unoccupied rooms being incredibly rare.

I won't complain about my 3 hour gap one day a week then

I'm guessing you live far away and can't just pop home and back in the gap?

I remember in my first term of my second year at uni they timetabled our tutorials at 9am. The lecturer had it moved cause even he couldn't be arsed to be in by 9 during winter...

Lol my computing teacher did that last year as she kept being late ("Guildford traffic before 9 on a weekday morning...")

During my days as a student (11 years ago ), Tuesdays were always a pain, as I had a lecture at 10am then a tutorial at 2pm then another lecture at 5pm. I often just didn't bother with that first lecture, which was encouraged by the fact I was always out on a Monday night.

Hooked up my pc to the AV ampt using a newly bought optical cable. Half an hour of faffing around and only getting stereo output and I find that PC games generally aren't dolby or DTS encoded so the onboard sound just spits out stereo. My options are:

                      1. 5 x 3.5mm to phono cables. 5m long each
                      2. A soundcard that can encode to Dolby or DTS

                      1 isn't an option so I guess I'm on a shopping trip.

Oh, and the bluetooth signal from my PC isn't strong enough so my Dual Shock 3 controller only works intermittently in teh living room. Only way to solve that is a 4m USB extension lead, a bluetooth dongle and have the dongle in the living room, attached to the extension lead which is plugged into the PC. This is becoming a total headache.

Try 9am lectures on a Saturday for fun . We used to have a 4 hour block through to 1pm that made it impossible to travel anywhere far for the weekend.

Still not having a job, the job centre and waiting 6 weeks for MRI results are a few of today's annoyances.

Yeah. Well, sort-of. A 1.5 hour commute away, so going home and coming back would be a 3 hour round trip. I wouldn't mind one gap during the week but three is pushing it a lot. I'm just at a loss as to how anybody could consider the timetable acceptable, although the university only got around to publishing it two weeks before the new year begins. The whole thing smacks of laziness, really. Cracking down on the people using the library to watch TV on YouTube would solve a lot of problems but having to cart loads of textbooks around every day is going to get very irritating. Better step up my quest for an e-reader next week!
