Could be wrong, but that's how it reads to me!
The audio level is actually the same across all the content. The difference is that the audio levels in commercials (and much modern music for that matter) is compressed so that everything is playing at the same dynamic range, which to us humans make it appear much louder.

I think they are intentionally louder because they want you to subconsciously absorb the marketing whilst you leave the room for:-
        a) A Piss
        b) Make a drink or grab some num nums

Yeah, no, it's definitely intentional to heighten awareness of their commercial (or generic pop song if you're listening to the radio). Just wanted to point out that the channel has a consistent volume, even though it definitely appears louder for us.

Maybe a little too sarcastic then. I was completley agreeing with the post, though I would of thought it was pretty obvious? I've actually complained to sky and the BBC about this and they have assured me that they do no such thing and it must be a hardware problem on my end, hmmm year ok.

On another irk of mine. Been to a few restaurants recently and on all 3 occasions at the end of the meal when I've gone to pay, the waiter has tried to loom over me and put an especial emphasis on the point when it comes to the tip. Now I don't know how other people feel about this but this but a tip in my eyes is something I give if I feel someone has done an exceptional job. Certainly not something ill be intimidated into.

I actually got up on one occasion and asked the waiter why he feels the need to stand over me like that and at that particular point in paying, I asked him if he thinks hell scare me into tipping him? To which I just replied its not like that mate, awesome what brilliant customer service.

              Has anyone else experienced this?

Fundamentally changing the English language might be the only way to do that, ikobo.

My fancy PC monitor is iffy with my PC Engine.

Guess I'll have to make that RGB harness sooner than I thought..

Nah it was just me being a div pretty much, I completely didn't see it until it was pointed out, but i'm on the same page now and their response sounds about what you'd expect.
