The crowds I saw were black, white and Asian. Most of whom looked to have been born here. I saw very few "off the boat" type immigrants, or any other kind. IMHO foreigners would've been in the minority regarding these incidents. I dont think they give a crap about JD sports and Footlocker shizznit tbh

Sounds like Hackney's the place to be right now if you fancy some new electrical goods.

      Or Rango.

The crowds I saw on the clips had one universal thing regardless of colour, they were all *****, just like every pack of jobless hoody wearing (Even in 30 degree heat) vermin you see around every shopping centre/street corner.

It didn't take long, but not surprising really:

Pah. I've always wanted to be in a riot. They're exciting.

I remember being in Jerusalem in 2000 and hearing on the news about a bomb going off very near to where we were staying in the old city and somehow talking my girlfriend into going there. So we immediately set off for the location, fighting through crowds of people, some in tears, all running away from the incident, and when we got there we somehow found ourselves caught between a load of IDF soldiers firing shots and an angry mob of stone-throwing Palestinians. But it was incredible. It was scary, I won't lie, but it also made you feel incredibly alive. Like an instant change of consciousness, your senses feel like they're on sticks, you become insanely calm (like all emotion is instantly replaced with pure logic and reason) and time genuinely seems to slow down. Unfortunately my girlfriend quickly broke down into tears, called me a prick for dragging her there and started freaking out and so we slowly and literally crawled away, but otherwise I'm pretty sure I would have stuck around to see what unfolded. It was exciting.

So, yeah, I can see why some people might wanna riot. Leads me to imagine animals, in their everyday 'fight or flight' lives, feel much more alive than humans do. Be cool to replicate that somehow without the need to endanger anyone or trash anything. A little pill of some sorts perhaps to waken us from our waking slumber...

There are two things we know about the rioters, they are mad and they are very competent at throwing things at glass structures to smash them down. I blame Angry Birds.

Tell that to the Daily Mail and see if it makes tomorrow's front page! Also point out that it was made by foreigners (probably).

That's an injured dog. I would happily wish the most atrocious pain imaginable on whoever's responsible for that.

None of these looters would get that reference at all

Scum. Anyone caught looting deserves a beating before being dragged off to a cell.

They make me embarassed to have been born in London.

It's also sickening reading The Guardian and them going all out to spin this as being a result of them being downtrodden by society, being oppressed yada yada yada (oh, and naturally it's all the Tories fault). Sorry, these are just criminals with no political message. Plenty of people throughout the country have incredibly tough lives and they don't feel the need to destroy their own communities.

They're criminals that's all they are.

It's funny and disappointing that if that was Spurs football fans doing the rioting. The way the police and the Media would have dealt with matter would have been completely different. With the Police going in heavy handed and not a care in the world for people rights or upsetting any groups , straight in smash them up , bung them in the back of the Van and lock them up. Plus no cvil right groups woul be coming out with excuses about religion, colour, or poverty
