      Didn't you fancy a full suspension 29er ?

I've seen there are 650b wheels, i wonder if is this going to take over from 26" ?

I'm wanting a full suspension bike now as been riding some rough local trails of late and the vibration through back of bike is awful.

I've never tried a 29er, so I don't really know. The only person I know with one is a hardtail.

yeah, not tried one either but wonder how much difference the extra wheel size makes.

They just look funny though with the large wheels as wont be too great on hill climbs but quick on descents and turns I guess.

Have you ever used frame protection tape that's used on helicopter blades for stopping cable rub on frames ?

Oddly, just ordered some. But not till now no.

A friend of mine who is a pro XC racer, she swears by the 29er hardtail. But I doubt I'll be skilled enough to notice the difference.

Your inner tube will have a range stamped or printed on it.

I'm not having much luck with my bike of late, after a ride yesterday I notice a split in my rear tyre around the bead part.

I'll add a picture later, thinking of a change maybe Schwalbe racing Ralph or maxxis advantage ?

How's your new bike charlser ?

                    It's infinity good.

I went and did some seriously bumpy stuff yesterday. I was taking it easy, but it all felt effortless. I could aim straight at root and rock gardens and just sail straight through without any thought of line choice. Crazy. It climbs really well too.

I tried a proper DH trail, but only equalled my previous best time on the hardtail. Unsure yet if it was just me being pansy or what though....

Go back a page or so.

Had my bike about 10 days now, getting over a chest infection so haven't really appreciated it until yesterday.

Just cycling along the Thames in Molesey and enjoying the sunshine.

The lightness and thin tread make cycling a breeze. Why did I spend so long on MTBs I wonder.

At a loss when it comes to my saddle height though. I put it up about 2 inches but I feel I'd be more comfortable if my leg extended fully when cycling, if that makes sense.

Either way, love my own bike and hope it lasts me years to come. Once I've changed the pedals and grips at least.

Post 616 has the flickr feed.

Speedy, the saddle height should be low enough that the seat doesn't bang your bum while pedalling fast, but as high as possible otherwise.

Because you knew no better. Welcome to enlightenment.

I always had 2 sets of wheels when I had my MTB. One with big fat knobblies and a set with slicks. 2 minutes to swap 'em over for appropriate ride/conditions.

                                Probably a great solution.

Like I don't feel like I'd be confident on this bike in the snow, but that isn't an issue on my old bike.
