The fact is, Charles is still pushing his scheme through this forum which is unacceptable.

This forum stinks at the moment and many members are not happy. Especially with the recent destruction of the trading forum.
Totally agree with this. If it was a regular non-admin member pushing a pyramid scheme behind the scenes via PMs I'm certain there would be more action taken against it.
This goes to show what happens when you target a more vulnerable person with this kind of thing, so don't get all defensive if he reacts in a different way than expected.

I still like this forum. It has changed a lot over the years as the community has lost some regulars and gained others, but that's natural for any forum. The mods do a good job, members like SupermanFalls contribute a lot of threads, and there's always some good chat about games.

Also, I find the majority of people on here genuinely nice and reasonable. There are of course a few irritating individuals who are rude and condescending and/or like to start repetitive flamewars over everything (as you'd find anywhere), but by and large interaction is a million times more grown up than most other places on the internet.

It was in April that I messaged Grapple Convoy. That was the last time I mentioned it to anyone here. I "aggressively" ( ) said I had no idea if it would be of interest to him, but hey, work from home, no experience necessary, and he said he didn't think he would be allowed to join because he was disabled. Which seems to be the common theme - he's already decided no one will give him IT work experience because he's disabled and dismissed all the excellent advice he was given by knowledgeable forum members.

I once went to a party where there where four betterware sellers, they where a strange bunch and all bragged about how much money they made. Actual knocking door to door and leaving catalogues was not where the money was made it was recruiting people to your group and getting them to buy catalogues and make sales as you got money from their sales and how many catalogues they bought.

If you had enough people selling for you, you could sit back and do nothing and get paid. These people really aggressively gave anyone at the party the pitch. It was really uncomfortable to watch.

            You think that's tough?

I used to be a door-to-door salesman - selling doors.

Wow, missed the drama last night and just catching up now. I wonder what makes people have spontaneous forum meltdowns?

What's the self-destruction of the trading forum people have mentioned? I don't use it loads - I've actually used it a bit recently - but I've not noticed any self-destruction.

I think it's just the recent tidying up of threads (e.g. merging / closing) and enforcing of the rules no?

April? Seems a bit OTT to bring it up now and not then.

Regardless. I still don't feel this is the place, even via PM to be conducting any type of business like that.

Regarding the trading forums, yes rules are rules but many feel they heavy handed approach is not ideal. Especially when decent items for sale are becoming more of a rarity than ever.

Yeah i think that's what he's referring too, wouldn't call it self destruction, more a gentle reminder

reminder of the rules but then nobody likes getting told off especially when they think there providing a service

a more friendly approach would of helped sort of like

sorry to be a pain but where trying to get the trading forum back on track, be a gent would you and put your sold items and all prices back in the first post. if you could do this for us that would be spiffing old chap.

Neither would I- it's a good thing. Loads of people blatantly disregarded the rules for a long time. Good to see them being enforced now.

That said, I think there's a least one member trading (under a different name, I think) who's been previously banned from trading. They may have had access restored but their old name (if it's them) still appears in the bad traders list. I won't mention who, in case I've got the wrong end of the stick.

What was so bad about the tidying of the sales forum? Neil cleaned it up and asked people to read the rules so they could ensure they were following them. It's completely free to use the sales forum and it's a great service. Moderation is one of the things that makes it good. It irritates me when I see people bumping threads etc.

Perhaps I used to wrong term but it has felt heavy handed and out of nowhere. I'm not the only.person to notice this.

If the rules have been disregarded for a long time, who's fault is that?

Of course, the only acceptable response to this is: CAPCOM!!!!

Well, yes, there is that too.
