Clouds. I was out for a run during the eclipse and didn't even notice it.

Would love a decent mechanical macboard with raised keys. starting using one on my pc; bit more expensive but well worth it! Especially when gaming.

Yeah, from what friends and mates have said, looks like most of the south east was completely overcast :/

Yeah, I also hate how everyone else is into scrabble keyboards as well. I can usually type fast but on my MacBook I don't often reach decent speeds. I love Lenovo keyboards. If I didn't have a MacBook I'd have a Lenovo.

My irk: there's a 28" 4K Dell monitor at work that no one is using. It's horribly laggy or else I'd claim it. Not much good with Windows, though.

            I'm not getting a 4k or 144hz monitor until it's at 1ms response time.

Not getting all that eye candy at the expense of getting owned by some no lifer in multiplayer.

My sense of direction... my mum was taken into hospital so I had to leave the pub (an extra irk ) and find my way to the hospital via public transport. I got the bus in the wrong direction, it took me 25 mins to find the ward then I got so lost coming back a cleaner had to guide me! "It's very well signposted, how has this happened" she said! Then I got on a bus that doesn't go anywhere near my house. 1 digit out adds 40 mins to a trip it seems. Luckily for my mother, it was my sister in law who got her there or her appendix would have exploded on the wrong bus...

Had my what was left of my upper front three teeth replaced with a denture plate yesterday. Awkward. Got a Hollywood Smile (TM) now but eating Wham bars will never be the same again.

Yeah, but they can't hire three of you for the same price they pay for you now...

I feel your pain. The current lot we have are not too bad, but I've worked with some lazy, terrible coders and some who were so disobedient (as in "come up with a technical spec and we'll review and go from there. Don't build it until we've reviewed the spec". Next meeting: "Ok so I think we need to make these changes if this is going to work", them: "We can't it's already finished and that would mean rewriting it").

What? You didn't notice the 3 or 4 degree drop in temperature?

The drop in temperature also reduces the air pressure and the clouds should dissipate.

Iwata lying about how he came up with the idea of Amiibos whilst sat on a bullet train...

What a complete crock of ****! I can't believe he has the audacity to prentend that Amiibos aren't a carbon copy of Skylanders and Disney Infinity. The makers of Skylanders even approached Nintendo who turned them down before they went to Activision and made $3 billion...

My opinion of Iwata has plunged in recent times, he comes across as a plagiarising bastard who has his head buried in the sand...

Maybe he meant he came up with the idea of ripping off Skylanders on the train.

                            Ha ha ha!

I guess it sounds more romantic than he got the idea to rip them off whilst on the bog.

I don't think it even counts as an idea does it?

Good point on the pay but I think that's the sort of thinking that bites the company further down the line- we have an automation framework that has turned into a behemoth that even the most experienced developers are afraid to touch. You end up paying developers continually to run in and fix it across its lifespan because of the poor implementation, so it constantly haemorrages money while it's used.

You get what you pay for- we have some amazing contractors architecting new designs at work but unfortunately I think an elegant and efficient automation framework is less glamorous and viewed as janatorial work by people who'd prefer to add something flashy and new to their CV instead of knuckling down with something boring but necessary.
