Terratorial stuff with TV.
Right now, I regularly see stuff posted online about Gravity Falls and Steven Universe.
I want to watch them, as they look like very funny TV shows. However, not being in the USA makes this difficult. Over there, you can watch them online for free (ad-supported, presumably) on their respective network websites, but not so in other places.
Neither of these series are on Netflix in any territory. In the UK, they're carried by Sky, and I'm not subscribing to Sky for them (if it's not happening for Game of Thrones, nothing else even gets a look-in).
I don't yarr-download TV or movies. I haven't done it for many years now. I pay for services like Netflix and Crunchyroll, and I often buy the ability to watch movies one-off on other services. I do this because I want to reward the TV industry for finally starting to get its **** together and making this stuff convenient and cheap.
Many of these series are available via iTunes, but they're to buy, and I don't want to pay ?50 or something daft to buy them. I just want to watch them. Once. Game of Thrones I bought and sold the Blu-Ray boxsets after one watch (though used NowTV for the last one and will be for the next one) but this isn't always an option either. I have no interest in building a "digital library" of movies, because I only have a handful of films etc. that I want to watch more than once every 5 years or so.
This has got better since 2004, but they still have a long way to go. I'm sat here, with my debit card and all MANNER of high-tech devices, ecosystems, digital storefronts and other techno-crap but I still can't pay just to watch a contemporary series.

Can you just subscribe to Sky short term or is that even possible?
Edit: By the way, in spite of your frustration, I want to commend you for not wanting to yarr them and being willing to pay for content. That is fantastic, respectful of the people who make them and what it actually costs to get shows together and all too few think as you do. So thank you. I hope you find a way to access these shows that works for you.Last edited by Dogg Thang; 28-03-2015, 17:05.

Yeah, you can series link them and record them if you have Sky+ but I guess that's doing the full Sky sub thing. And even then, I have a feeling that Steven Universe is a good behind here although I'm not sure. They could well hit Netflix in a while though. Speculation but they seem pretty good at building that animation catalogue.
I really like Gravity Falls. Probably my favourite show in that area of TV right now. I admire many things they do in Steven Universe but I'm honestly not sure I actually enjoy it.
