The digital version works but the audio quality on that one is awful.
Modern warfare 1 on PS3 does this too, just doesn't work anymore.

Say what you want about ninty and their balls up of the wiiu sales wise, but in 15 years you can put any of the disks in that machine and it will just work, no questions asked you can guarantee you can play that game.

Other publishers could do well to follow that example.

Shadow of chernobyl. Up to 20 minutes initial load time, audio sync issues and no one has a definitive fix.

Don't say that! Luckily mine gets very little use.

              Mine doesn't either!

Anyway, I'm glad I bought it in a shop - maybe I foresaw issues? Taking it back to Richer Sounds tomorrow and they're going to handle the return to Samsung for me.

They've said I can have a loaner TV if I want too, which is nice service but I'll probably pass on that.

                      Jesus H Christ.

My lass has just noticed the last ever episode of Glee on Sky 1. She hasn't watched it for years and asked if she could watch it to see how it's all tied up. Fair enough, I say, as long as I can read my book.

Fifteen minutes of NON-STOP rabbiting. About every character, every back story, every turgid relationship, the death of an actor and its effect on the cast, every song, disagreements with her sister about which song is the best, which character came in which series, and on and on and on.

I feel like putting on the last episode of The X Files or something, and divulging every single plot, sub plot, character arc and in-joke I can remember. This is intolerably ludicrous. I don't know whether I'm meant to be watching it and showing interest, or listening to her endless commentary. I'm bamboozled because I didn't agree to either.

Seeing a video of that massive explosion in china and the people recording talking about it and the priority is to film it rather then try and get as far away as possible

Yes, I thought that. People's priority seemed to have changed.

It reminded me of the picture "If the Titanic sunk today..."

You're totally right. And the sad thing is they would be frantically trying to upload to Facebook rather that get to safety no doubt.

My irk today, blokes who wear a shirt, tucked in to trousers with no belt. Just plain wrong.

                                Just had a bad dream:

Justice were going to play a huge concert but they were missing one song - Audio, Video, Disco. Well, Gaspard Auge was missing it. Xavier was sick and couldn't do it. Putting aside the ludicrousness of neither them nor any of their staff having a copy of one of their songs, I offered to download and burn a flac from the newsgroups and then Gaspard Auge asked if I could drop the song in the live set, but only if I had the requisite DJ skills. This would be a one-off, one-shot, nail-it-for-insta-fame chance. Mess up and I'd mess up the set. Also, there was that controversy years back when Gaspard's MIDI controller was unplugged that led the Internet to accuse them of faking their sets. So the stakes were high. I should've handed over the CD and politely declined to 'drop' it.

Bollocks to that! Of course I said yes! He was due on at 7. I looked at the equipment and started preparing then I realised, to my horror, that I'd be using Apple DJ(not a real program). Like all Apple apps, it had evolved to cater for hipsters hosting brunches who wanted to cross fade between stuff for an hour.

Speaking of hours, an hour went by and I still wasn't ready. 7 o'clock was approaching. Not only did the app keep losing my cue points but at one point it crashed and when I reopened it it had turned into Virtual DJ! Also the USB MIDI controller just contained beads and no real circuitry.

Anyway, I powered on through and figured the safest thing would be something more straightforward. I asked what song would be on before so I could figure out that tempo and what part to mix in from but no one knew. I had to give up. It was 8 o'clock by now and the crowd were pissed off. Gaspard was at someone's house while I got ready and they called him to say I couldn't do the drop. He said he was coming round to beat me up then do the set without that song.

                                That's when I woke up.
